Welcome back to episode 99 of The Co-op Podcast, we’re a week away from the big one, but before that we were joined by Co-op veteran and entrepreneur Anthony Frasier to discuss the latest in gaming. While discussing the NPD’s for October we began to ponder what November is looking like, and that lead us to wonder why Sony’s (little) big exclusive LittleBigPlanet 3 (LBP3) isn’t being promoted the way it should be. We then realized that Microsoft’s own creation title Project Spark slipped under the radar. These are two creative games that should be shown more attention, but instead they’re getting out-shined by the mass of AAA titles. Listen as we discuss the reasons and let us know your personal thoughts.
A new patent recently published by Sony wants to gather biometric data of gamers to track whether one is being harassed using AI tools.
I hope this is one of those patents that never comes to fruition.
I already dislike the fact you can pay a significant amount for a online service buy associated games and content on said service and get banned from that service over potentially a misunderstanding the bans are already handed out for flimsy reasons
I'd rather see money invested in a ban that simply removes the offensive players ability to communicate with unknown players allow them to continue party chats with friends but not with Joe blow on cod.
Take my social security and bank account numbers too! Here’s a picture of my wife and our address.
At this rate I feel Sony will eventually sell a room to play games in it where they can monitor your every breath
I want them to censor erotic content by measuring my groin temperature so i dont get too distracted while playing black ops 2.
Terrible idea. Not only do I not consent to providing my biometric data, the potential for mishandling biometric data is almost a certainty. Positive stress and negative stress can produce similar changes in biometrics. Interpreting the precise emotion a person is feeling is not only invasive but could be easily misconstrued. I hope this never comes to fruition.
Sony has recently published a new patent that wants to dynamically handle the games' difficulty and gameplay based on the player's emotions.
This is something I might use. Sometimes I play some good games but they don’t have difficulty option and are a little too easy.
cool idea
cool idea for horror games especially
the way it's explained here sounds like it could never be forced hopefully, so that's ok with me
The GTA 5 Agent Trevor DLC episode could have been a real treat for fans on PlayStation and Xbox, before it was scrubbed sometime before 2017.
With the amount of money they generated, I just don’t understand the scrubbing of this. It would’ve been fantastic for fans.
I really want to know who drove the decision to focus on multiplayer was it Rockstar or take two.
Because when online started taking off many of the studio leads began having falling outs and leading including a founder
One of the reason I believe once gta 6 release, most of us thoroughly play it, enjoy the world they crafted then after that no offline support, no dlc at all
To answer the question: Because "Play, Create, Share" is dead.
I see LittleBigPlanet 3 commercials on TV almost daily
so I see it being promoted
I don't get it either. Those are both good games that promote creativity and these games are barely getting any attention. Especially LBP3 a sequel to a game franchise that sold very well and was well recognize on the ps3 and one of my top favorite ps3 exclusives. Has there even been a review for lbp3 yet?
It's because it will never live up to things like roblox :3
It amazes me the PS4 and PS3's best game this whole year isn't getting more promotion. It's amplified by the fact that the PS4 fall lineup is so disappointing. LBP is an elite platforming franchise. There is Ratchet, Mario, Rayman, and LBP. In terms of good side scrollers there is only Rayman and LBP. LBP3 should have been huge, but nobody is talking about it. Sony sucks at promoting.
