Minecraft for PS4 Delayed, Confirms Mojang Developer

After the news that Minecraft for Xbox One will release on September 5th, and the rumour that a PlayStation 4 version would not be far behind for Europe, a developer working with Mojang has confirmed that the PlayStation 4 version has now been delayed again.

It probably had less time to develop because of the announcement time and set-focus on the PS3 version when it was announced. It should be no problem fixing a few bugs that come from typical ports.

This tweet has been blown totally out of proportion. The guy was asked if there was any news about MCPS4. He said "not yet". The last minute show stoppers are the last minute things Kaplan mentioned.

Non-standard updates can happen. Standard or planned updates happen simply to coordinate the functionality of the store. The game has already been uploaded to the servers as confirmed by certain people downloading it already. It's just not been made available due to the problem with the upgrade feature (e.g. getting it for $5).

The update would be as simply as clicking the 'make available' option (or whatever it is) on Sony's side of the network after a small update to the upgrade code.

anyone saying this was due to MS has way more faith in 4J than I do. They are trying to rush this thing out because they announced it being closed to ready months ago, but the fact is it is a bug riddled mess.

It takes some MAJOR flaws to not pass cert for Sony, something bad was wrong.

When people get their hands on it on both platforms, don't be surprised if it isn't all that stable.

I have it now on ps4 in uk so its fail to the camp that says different.

At outlawlife; been playing it for a few hours now and its working fine. Although it will not let me get my skin pack from the ps3 version. The texture packs tho from my ps4 version are enabled free on ps4.
