There's no excuse for this game this looks like an Xbox title.

Thump19675814d ago

Give it more time really looking forward to this game

dragunrising5814d ago (Edited 5814d ago )

It wouldn't look horrid...it would look worse. I'm jk, although you never know. This game needs a little work in the graphics department. Although, who is to say whether the game will be fun or not. Gauntlet Legends comes to mind. Ugly as sin but loads of fun if played with some friends.

psiom5814d ago (Edited 5814d ago )

Way to bring the fanboy BS right into a thread it doesn't belong in.

What PS3 fanboys posting negatively are you talking about? <-- ok you edited that part out.

Why do you have a dig at the PS3 itself in a thread about an Xbox 360 game? I can't imagine how you could possibly sound like a bigger fanboy yourself.

dragunrising5814d ago (Edited 5814d ago )

Every time I mention something positive about 360 it gets shot down by a PS3 fanboy. Every time I say something in the least bit objectionable/constructive about the PS3 I get lynched (because I'm not Sony fanboy "enough"). The reason why I bring it up at all is because every pro-360 thread turns into a 360 hating forum. I'm tired of people posting mindless, biased fanboy comments. I have tried time and time again to add insightful, intellectual discussion to n4g.com. It never seems to go anywhere. Instead, I get disagrees and no replies to explain why. I was having a little fun is all.

InMyOpinion5814d ago

Couldn't agree more. This place is infected.

psiom5814d ago

But surely you can see that a 360 fan arbitrarily attacking the PS3 (even though just kidding) in a completely unrelated thread will just fire them up even more?

Adding and inciting more fanboyism around here has to be the worst thing we can do for N4G.

The only way to deal with fanboys is to call them on it in the least fanboy-like tone possible. When they're the only ones posting cretinous drivel there's always that small chance they'll realize how dumb they look.

tudors5814d ago (Edited 5814d ago )

I have an xbox-360 but even I find your comment ridiculous, this game looks like it could be done on the original Xbox or maybe even the PS2 (apart from the water), but as one guy said "I have seen worse", horrid is overdone, same as saying it would look worse on the PS3.

P.S in this thread you started it off.

InMyOpinion5814d ago

I referred to his second comment. The first one is silly.

Top 5 Action RPGs of this Generation

The Koalition writes: "To be clear, this list is in regards to isometric-styled hack-and-slash action RPGs. If you've ever played a Diablo game or anything like that, then you have a pretty good idea. There are lots of games and franchises in this genre, but it also seems to be one of the most under-represented each and every gaming generation. Releases are few and far between, but each successive title seems to always garner praise and success. One of the most iconic franchises in all of gaming - Diablo - basically started the entire subgenre and it's still going strong to this day. With Diablo III finally set to release on consoles soon, I thought this was a good time to take a look back at all of the best the action RPG genre has to offer this generation."

Definitely looking forward to Diablo III on consoles. Very anxious to see what has been added and taken away from the PC version.

ATi_Elite3908d ago

I enjoyed Torchlight 2 and Path of Exile should be on the list.

POE is very hard!

FortKnight3909d ago

Doesn't fit the criteria of the article.

pandehz3909d ago

Dark Souls is not in the ARPG genre.

It has action of course but ARPG is something else.

Irishguy953909d ago

Do explain sir...i've been calling them all Action RPGs up until now.

An RPG with real time combat...is what I have been calling ARPGS.

cocadaking3909d ago (Edited 3909d ago )

@Irishguy95 For PC gamers, ARPGs are only Diablo clones.

FortKnight3909d ago

Good article. A bit sparse, it would have been nice to hear a bit more detail about each game instead of a short, basic description.
But good. I enjoyed the read.

jaggernaut253908d ago

Yeah more detail would have been better, maybe some information about *really* makes them different besides the setting and whatnot. It's tough to get too detailed and keep the list relatively brief, though.

Thanks for reading!

pandehz3909d ago

Author is it in that order?

If so I would pick Diablo 1,2,3 as first three. Everything else comes after.

jaggernaut253908d ago

This article was focused on only this generation of consoles as a year-range, so Diablo I & II were excluded :)

Sacred 2 Gigagamers Review

Sacred 2: Fallen Angel is made by an UK-based gaming company “Ascaron.” It Is a prequel to Sacred which sets about 2000 years before the events of Sacred, the prequel has a lot more than Sacred, but does that mean Sacred 2 can top off the Diablo series or It will just stay to the “Diablo Clone” status?

Five great alternatives to Diablo III this generation

Digitally Downloaded writes: "So you might be playing Diablo III. Or you might be seeing the number 37 in your nightmares right now. But either way it’s hard to deny there’s a thrill to the hack-and-slash lootfests that the original Diablo made so popular, and has been imitated so many times since.

But perhaps you have an old PC, or you stick to playing games on consoles. Well, never fear, you can still be looting along with everyone else. "

This guy is screwed in the head, the best dark ARPG/hack n slash/dungeon crawler atm is Path of Exile and the only game that looks good enough to compete with it is Grim Dawn but that is not even in close beta yet, the games those guy suggest suck big time some of them look really horrible like they r from the 90's, article fail beyond measure.
