Are TurboGrafx-16 Games Coming to North America’s Wii U eShop?

New clues emerge that show that Turbografx-16 games may be coming to the Wii U eShop in North America.

If you want N64 games so badly, you can just buy them on the Wii in Wii mode.

I would personally like to see more games from SEGA system like the SEGA Saturn and Dreamcast. Give me Panzer Dragoon and Shenmue.

The problem with bringing TurboGrafx games to WiiU is there aren't that many of them that were localized in English. This was the first console to have a CD drive, full musical soundtracks that actually wasn't MIDI, and the first true cut-scenes. What doomed the console was lack of games, plain and simple.

C'mon seriously? This console has been out for 2 years now. Getting old classics is cool, but what about ACTUAL WII U GAMES!!!? It's sad. I bought this console for my wife, not knowing that devs wouldn't support it. The games they do make are great, but not enough of them. It's hard to care about classics, when they don't get any of the new games. This holiday season is stacked with an impressive game lineup, and I swear there's literally only a few of them coming to the Wii U.

since you used the words I bought this console for my wife, I am assuming you have a second console perhaps for yourself? Between the Wii U and PS4 there are too many games releasing that I will be able to play.

It does bring back memories. But what about all the new games coming out that the Wii U won't get? Wouldn't you rather play those as opposed to a 25 year old blast from the past? Wii U has disappointed me thoroughly. I feel like I wasted my money. But my wife likes it so I can't trade it in.

Just play games you like on your console of choice, and spare your moaning.
Isn't it good enough that your wife enjoys the console? Can't believe you are complaining about "wasting" money in this regard.

What ABOUT them?
If any of those multiplats did come to the Wii U, third parties would treat those Wii U versions like crap by cutting out content.
At this rate, an older game would be more full and complete an experience than a third party multiplatform title.

Just look at all the DLC missing from most of those titles.
Sniper Elite V2 is an especially worrying example, as not only did they not include the DLC, they also cut out the multiplayer mode entirely, AND made a statement that they would NOT be including patch support for critical flaws that would otherwise freeze the game!

That's how third parties treat the Wii U's ports.
That's how they WOULD treat any ports of any games you're thinking of.
Wii U owners are not really missing out on much when those games would be so incomplete that they wouldn't be worth their $60 price tags on Wii U anyways.

Wii U is better off ignoring multiplatform titles until the developers want to do the games the right way.
In the meantime, Nintendo should buy more exclusives like Bayonetta 2 and Devil's Third, and make more collaborative titles like Hyrule Warriors.
THAT is where Nintendo's third party strength will come from this gen.
Not multiplats.

Wow. How do you damage control a system that has no games? Say what you want, but as a Wiii U owner, it's disappointing to have no games. Most of the games are the same Nintendo exclusives we've been playing for years. Now I'm supposed to be excited for turbo graphics 16? The new consoles are getting new games in addition to the old stuff that we grew up on. That's exciting. I hope Nintendo gets it together. Damage controlling this failed system only empowers the company to continue not giving us our money's worth.

You should really get a pc if you believe the wiiu is a failed system. The "graphics" and "story" on the other 3rd party games wear pretty thin. Plus who cares about the moniker failed system when your logic is flawed. As a gamer if a system has no games I want then it has failed me. As you can see we are more excited about old ass t16 games than ps4 or xbone games.

If you also notice we like this art better we like these game types better than random 3rd person or fps shooting games. True more resolution would be great yet the art is what we like. No one makes this stuff any more.

There is the simple fact that most games have not even surpase the old games. They just look more realistic. Yet the art and game play are both unimaginative and boring.

Saying that the console has failed only matters to pop gamers that are looking for something new to play from guys that have had over ten years of making games under their belt and still can't beat older games in style and gameplay.

So in away we are standing up and asking for better and unfortunately nintendo is the only company that see what we all see. These are good games that the industry forgot how to make or advance. If you can't find fun in these games then you might be a casual gamer... oops!

We have the Wii U as well. My wife and kids play it a lot. There are some good games, but I wish they had more multi plat games. Loving the Mario Kart though.

I already have access to a ton of VC games in Wii mode on my Wii U, so its kind of hard to get excited about them being available in Wii U mode, its not like I am going to buy them again when I already have them. Not that I do not like Bonk and what not, but just go into Wii Mode.

What VC console games I would like to see on Wii U are GAMECUBE/Dreamcast games. That is what would get me pumped.
