Tal Peleg works at Naughty Dog as a Senior Conematic Animator, and besides having being one of the many developers behind The Last of Us (you could also be aware of his work with the hilarious Joel Banderas and Joel Nicholson animations), he's also a quite passionate fan of Visceral Games' Dante's Inferno, so much that he decided to use his mad skills and his spare time to create a stunning CGI fan short dedicated to Dante's adventures.
Inside you can also read an exclusive interview explaining how and why the video was made.
Following a recent interview with Sony, Naughty Dog head Neil Druckmann claims the original intent was “unfortunately lost” in the process.
Glad he clarified it but i'm still somewhat skeptical. Plus, his comments about how Ai will revolutionize storytelling were still pretty iffy.
Druckmann claims the tech could 'push the boundaries of storytelling in games.'
I’m more interested in what else he said.
“Neil Druckmann says new Naughty Dog title could ‘redefine mainstream perceptions of gaming’
He also said it has "ethical issues we need to address" but of course that doesn't get the clicks.
I’m all for it. Cuts the time to make a game. Look, Hellblade 2 took 5 years to make, if AI can do that in half the time, as a consumer, I support it.
The Last of Us director’s next project is “perhaps the most thrilling yet.
When you start the game Neil will appear personally telling you about real world issues and call you all sort of names if you don't take action now and then you watch a whole movie and that's it
please shut up and release a game, Naughty dog has not released a single title apart from Remaster on PS5...
He's gaslighting us to want something that doesn't exist yet. This fool got demoted back to janitor status where he belongs for destroying the last of us franchise.
I would love to see sequel to Dante's Inferno, after all it did end on a cliffhanger. Though I doubt that will ever happen. Visceral is working on Battlefield Hardline and a Star Wars project so I'm pretty sure a sequel is out of the question. Plus they would probably opt to make another Dead Space game before a Dante's Inferno sequel.
OK
now i want Naughty Dog to do a Hack 'n' Slash game
This needs to be a real game!
And that Visceral is how you make a hack and slash game.
What if this is running off an PS4 = mindblown...
