Some time ago Ubisoft announced a new ambicious project called Killing Day. Announced as a first-person-shooter Ubisoft was showing off some awesome graphics at E3. The game was in development for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii but since E3 2005, nothing was heard from the game.
PS3Land wanted to know what was going on and decided to call Ubisoft UK, who confirmed what they were expecting: Killing Day has been cancelled. But don't be sad, cause Ubisoft has lots of other cool titles in development, like Assassin's Creed, Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway, Haze and many more.
VGS: 'Part of the excitement in gaming comes from watching a game be unveiled, following its news updates and eagerly awaiting the day of release. But there are times when it never gets to that final part. Either the game is cancelled, put on hold indefinitely, or becomes ‘vaporware’ - meaning, we simply never hear from it again. Here are some games that never saw a release, but that did look rather promising.'
I'm still disgruntled by Kojima's decision to cancel the original Metal Gear Solid: Rising's concept. It was absolutely ambitious: an open world stealth slasher with an ability to cut literally everything to make your way through... without enemy's notice.
I guess it was just too beautiful to happen.
Trigun for the PS2, was so sad when I heard it got canceled.

And when I was saying this spin off game was going to do so poorly long before it came out. People just clicked disagree, lol. I know the gaming market.
Same with MGS5. People will buy it for sure. But it won't have the impact MGS4 did. More so changing out David Hayter for no real reason at all. But more for a personal one of Kojima's. Many diehards did not like that at all!
A lot of the games history died in MGS4. Now it's become just some game. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.
Back in 2005, Sony took to the E3 stage to announce the PlayStation 3 in an explosive show. Between all the huge prices, pre-rendered CGI trailers, Ridge Racers and PS3 exclusives, Ubisoft's Killing Day was revealed.

Looked at the video last week to see if the cgi video would hold up to the games released now.
I can easily say that the games released right now are soo much better looking then what was promised at e3 2005/2006
Cancellations. They happen, and often to games that look more than promising. Cassidee from Leviathyn.com takes a look at some of the greatest games she'll never get to play.
Learn it World.
...for some reason, I always thought this was a PS3 exclusive.
Regardless, this will effect the PS3 lineup FAR more than the 360's ; I don't think it NEEDED another FPS, with the amazing lineup it already has.
This was something new, not another games with a number after it. I want fresh games.
Wasn't excited about this title... The... title itself seems a bit impersonible "Killing Day." I mean, yeah sure.. the video looked amazing, not much other then that though; I don't think some random guy running around 'killing' probably for vengance is going to GREAT.
