8CN: Supergiant Games really hit on something special with their first game Bastion, but their follow up, Transistor, has been out for almost two weeks now. I've only gotten a chance to play through the game once, and it took me about six hours. I liked the game, I did, but I think we need to talk about the play time.

Nevada Dru, from Bits & Pieces, goes through some of his favourite video game soundtracks.
WTMG's Leo Faria: "The WayTooManyGames staff lists their favorite non-horror games that scared them more than actual horror games released over the years."
Extremely misleading title...
Anyway, I also hate when that happens, but sometimes it can be hard to find a good middle ground.
I only made it two hours in. Not for me, was so bored. I felt that way with Bastion as well. I guess constant narration and repetitive gameplay just isn't my thing.
If it was any longer, I would've never finished it. Lots of fill in the blanks for that game though.
Thats the downside to small teams. I wonder if Transistor was their entire vision or if it would hav been longer if they had more resources.
I'm still hooked on Transistor.
The second playthrough opens up crazy possibilities, since you obtain duplicates of every function. Worth it, imo.
