Hardcore Gamer: When perusing through the PSN new releases today, I had to stop and slack my jaw for an extended moment after witnessing one of the most inept things I've ever laid eyes on: a "Digital Collector's Edition."
TheGamer Interviewed Naoki Yoshida: "A lot of people have been playing together with me and they don't even realize it."
The harbor is your first location, from where you can run off to different neighborhoods. You can find the Aetheryte square quickly, the other parts are already laid out gradually. Basic insight: Tulliollal is built on a hill, so it has an even larger vertical footprint than, for example, Old Sharlayan in Endwalker. While the harbor is down, the royal palace is all the way up, and you can wander into different nooks and crannies.
Naoki Yoshida talks about testing content himself, playing with fans under cover, and how most future FFXIV jobs will be original.
Wow, so first you take away our physical game manuals, and now you want us to buy into a "digital" collector's edition? Go eff yourself, Square.
Square is getting to an EA level with me. Meaning that I have to think long and hard before buying one of their titles.
I always laugh for new releases in digital form that contain the words like special edition, collector edition and asking for more money, sadly some people fall for it.
The ball of disappointment that Square has become continues to roll downhill.
I remember when I loved you, square. NES, SNES, PSX... those days are long gone. Makes me sad when I think of Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy, Secret of Mana and see what you're doing these days. :(
OT: What square really need to stop doing is online only collector's editions with distribution through Digital River. Digital River is the inept distribution company ever. They give absolutely zero F**K'S about the product that people pay for. They just send people's product off with a measly ass sheet of paper for protection. MAN I FREAKING HATE DIGITAL RIVER. Yet Square continue to use them.
