this game is looking sweet Square Enix!

:D

TornRaptor5837d ago

To true this game does look sweet. However this game is being developed by tri-Ace, Square Enix is just the publisher.

Alexander Roy5837d ago

The graphics look nice. Let's hope gameplay and story are good, too. I demand more great RPGs (you never can have enough wonderful stories)!

clintos595837d ago

Story driven games are my favorite games. I mean I see alot of games that are fun or have great gameplay meachanisms but nothing beats games that are fun and the gameplay meachanisms work well and are story driven. :)

gaffyh5837d ago

I'm looking forward to this more than Too Human and Fable 2 combined, because this game looks like it will actually be a good game.

TornRaptor5837d ago

Are you saying that Too Human and Fable 2 wont be good games, They both seem to be shaping up alright.

snakeater35837d ago

is this made by hironobu sakaguchi?....if it is , ill be buying a 360 for this i guess.....lack of rpgs for ps3. damn!

kewlkat0075837d ago

"Infinite Undiscovery, the tri-Ace RPG that was originally scheduled to be published by Microsoft but underwent the old publisher switcheroo late last year and is now going to have the name of Japan's biggest RPG publisher behind it."

So I think being developed by Tri-Ace and published by Square Enix.

Tri-Ace made Eternal Sonata on the xbox360, later on PS3.

Well add this game to the 360's JRPG repertoire. I suggest you look into Lost Odyssey, if you like jRPGS.

ericnellie5837d ago (Edited 5837d ago )

Last generation Xbox lacked RPGs but, this generation - they are truly making an effort to bring RPGs to their console. If you would have told me that at this point the 360 had more JRPGs than PS3 I would have laughed in your face. It's funny how things play out sometimes;)

I'll be getting this one day 1!!

Edit -- Go ahead and disagree fanboys, I'm only stating what the facts are. If you can't handle the fact that the 360 has more RPGs as of now, you're sad, sad, sad! LOL

ceedubya95837d ago

You can say what you want about the 360, but there is no denying that it is this current gen's RPG machine. Microsoft has done a wonderful job of expanding its library of games and getting all genres on its console. The 360 can not have the same "shooter console" tag like original Xbox before it.

snakeater35837d ago

too true guys,....as much is i want to disagree, you cannot hide the facts....ps3 is severely lacking in rpgs....heres hoping we do get some rpg love by level5 and square enix....we want ff and dragon quest fast! and while you re at it, kingdom hearts and suikoden please

ceedubya95837d ago

Seeing as how they only have a lack of JRPGs, I know that sony will get some more in due time. Its just that its taking SO long! Thankfully, some are coming this year for the PS3 that will not be on the 360 ( at least 1 I think, unless a delay happens). But there are some coming next year, so the PS3 will have picked up by then.

Tri-Ace still uses their old game engine from 2008

The gaming community lately makes jokes about companies making games that look like "PS3" or "PS2" games. While this is such a nasty dig, there may be some truth to this in the case of tri-Ace.

Sad really. I used to love these guys but man...they just aren't what they used to be.

phallusitator348d ago

According to the this they are exactly what they used to be…

Noskypeno349d ago

The Cod games have been using an engine built in the mid 90s. Nothing wrong with using an old engine if they update it. Bioshock used UE2 and looked better than most UE3 games. Arkham knight used UE3 and looked better than most UE4 games.

Chriswynnetbh349d ago

I would give my left nut for an infinite undiscovery pc port

shinoff2183349d ago

Sh it does suck but I enjoyed star ocean 6 the most out of any game last year. I thought it was solid af start to finish. My favorite game that year.

I'd love for Sony to get ahold of them.

shinoff2183349d ago

To late to edit but I just wanted to add not every game that comes out needs to push a consoles boundaries. Star ocean 6 looked fairly good to me.

shammgod349d ago

Yeah. They definitely squeezed every drop out of that engine for SO6. It was a fun game

nitus10348d ago (Edited 348d ago )

I assume you are talking about "Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness" which I do have and am still playing. IMHO it is a good game but for some reason I still prefer "Star Ocean: The Last Hope" that I played on my PS3.

As a side note I have "Star Ocean: Till the End of Time" (PS2 version) which I played on my first gen PS3 but unfortunatly the Australian version of the PS3 did not have full backwards capability like the US version did. I got so far in the game and hit a bug (advancement to a new area between two mountains) that prevented further play.

Bigman4k1799d ago (Edited 1799d ago )

AK911799d ago (Edited 1799d ago )

As long as they continue adding more BC once the Scarlett comes out.

badz1491799d ago

FGHFGHFGH1798d ago

I can see most of these coming to gamepass sometime this year. Even some of them could make it GWG.
