This is why I want Sony to make a DUALSHOCk 3.5...without the lightbar or trackpad. Or somehow make the ps4 controller work on the ps3...all the time. Its just so wierd going back to the DS3.

Anyway, DS2 looks amazing. Wish they would announce a next gen version but I actually think that theres a next gen spiritual sequel in the works anyway. I cant wait to jump in. It may be hard but its almost always fair. Learn from ur mistakes and get better. And nothing tops its immersion...nothing!

Dualshock 4 works with PS3... Sure, you have to be connected to cable but you can just buy one that's long enough. I bought one that's 8 meters. Costs tons but is worth it

Does it work perfectly? No loss of connection/input lag? May do this if it works well!

Aghashie3743d ago

Really? Never crossed my mind. Gonna try it out. I use my PS3 more than my PS4, yet like more the DS4 than the DS3. So, this will do wonders for me.

As long as DS4 is connected by micro USB (Note: not the same cable as DS3. DS3 used USB 2.0 AKA mini USB. DS4 used USB 3.0 AKA micro USB. The same one that most android phones use)
everything should work. Also note that DS4 does not work with every game. Most games but not every one. And sixaxis doesn't work with DS4 either. Other than that it's awesome. I've been using it with my PS3 and so far it has worked on every game I've tried expect GTA V (and with FIFA 14 you need to use another controller to navigate main menu. Sub menus and the gameplay itself works with it. Also TLOU needs sixaxis if you want to recharge your flashlight.)
To be honest I'm playing some games better with DS4 than DS3

I've been playing dark souls again in anticipation to this. Just can't wait!

The game isn't good though.

DS2 was fine. While there was a bit of recycling assets or ideas for bosses, it was a bigger more open Dark Souls. The Fume knight boss is one of the hardest bosses in the series until Sekiro and Elden Ring were released.

The problem with Dark Souls 2 was the same problem when a different director takes over for a sequel to an outstanding movie. It typically (there are exceptions) doesn’t have the feel and vision of the previous movie.

I wouldn’t say Dark Souls 2 is terrible. Had Dark Souls 1 never been a thing and we got this, I think it would have been praised more. The problem is it didn’t have the Miyazaki touch to it and felt pretty derivative. The soundtrack is a banger though.

And it will happen in the future when he doesn’t touch them as he is planning on.

MrBaskerville89d ago

I like DS 2, might even be my favorite of the 3. But it's a hard sell, there's so many obscure things you need to do to make it an enjoyable experience. So always find it hard to recommend, but it is worth the trouble.

All the bosses are only from Dark Souls. No Bloodborne, Sekiro, Elden Ring, or Demon Souls
