The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor announced

Publisher Sierra Entertainment has announced that it will be releasing a videogame adaptation of The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor for PlayStation 2, Wii and DS this summer.

Eurocom is to produce the PS2 and Wii versions of the upcoming action/adventure title, while A2M will be handling the DS iteration.

Tomb of the Emperor will be based on the forthcoming movie of the same name, which is scheduled to hit cinemas on August 1.

I had no idea there was another Mummy movie coming out this year. Is Brendan Fraser back in this one as well?

Though changing the setting really turned me off. Mummies are associated with Egypt, and they should stay in Egypt. Just my opinion, feel free to agree or disagree.

I completely agree.

I'm hope the movie is good, knowing Frasier is in it, but I have little hope for the video game.

Then when the playstation 1 game The Mummy hit the stores,I said . .um. . .lets give it a try.after 20min playtime I gave it to my friend lol.It was terrible ! But was made by Konami. Maybe this could be different. And I also didnt know a new movie was in the works. Lol the mummy game was hilarously crap ! They didnt even have the actual cast lend the voices to the game.

Why So Serious?

But really, I'm glad that they aren't making a sh*tty games based on the Dark Knight. That film is gonna RULE and nothing will taint it.
This film deserves a better class of criminal :)

Another crappy movie based game for PS2 and Wii...

As for the new Mommy, the old mummy guy is not in it and so isn't Rachel Weisz. Jet Li is the new Mummy!

Jet Li!. are you serious. This one will suck

KidzWorld: The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor Review

If the movie grabs you, this is a great way to join the action and go kick undead butt from the comfort of your couch. Camera issues and frustrating gameplay keep it from being as awesome as the stars of the film, but you can still dig up a movie-sized chunk of fun with it.

GamesRadar: The Mummy Review

Near invisible ledges, bemusing controls, pointless spinning blades and frustrating deaths pepper the badly animated scenes. But even these scenes are precious moments of respite from the tedious fighting sections, which imprison you in rooms to grapple with a trickling stream of cloned enemies. There are three guns – but you only need to use them against the few foes your punches can't reach. O'Donnell's quips repeat endlessly, making him seem like a forgetful Lara Croft and the right analogue stick doesn't move the camera, making things impossible when enemies attack from behind.

Elsewhere, gesture sections left over from the Wii version appear hugely out of place. TOTDE is a master class in bad design – a rushed tie-in project carried out on a shoestring budget. You couldn't punch this into shape.
