I really do belive that Yoshida is one of the best, if not the best, gaming executives around.

He wants his company to do well, is always active with the fanbase, and never puts down the competition.

Lovable3802d ago

Yawn. Well he's doing his job well considering how much you worship him.

abzdine3802d ago

Wii U PS4 is the best console combo this gen, period!

Eonjay3802d ago

At least SCE's top ranking executives are part of the gaming community and actively involved. Some companies don't even have officer class executives that reach out to their fanbase...

CGI-Quality3802d ago

Quit being a sour grape. He said nothing wrong at all.

OT: Yoshida is just what the industry needs - respectable man that welcomes all competition.

cleft53802d ago

I will be doing the PS4/WiiU Combo this generation as well as the PSVita/3DS combo. Sony delivering the cutting edge next-gen games and Nintendo delivering those amazing Nintendo experience. Best of both worlds.

maddskull3802d ago

atleast we are not like you sucking phil spencer and the other xbox execs

RyuCloudStrife3801d ago

Yoshida gets more and more respect from, he truly is a class act.

It's sad that the forums over at GameSpot and Kotaku are talking as if Yoshida has some "hidden agenda" underneath his comments.

Why can't people just be happy for positive things? They act as if it is blasphemy for executives to own other consoles/devices.

cesuf3801d ago

Because the door doesn't swing both ways is why.

It's only fanatistical news when sony does it, otherwise everyone else has "hidden agendas" and are really "the devil in disguise" trying to capture ours souls.

thecowsaysmoo3802d ago

@abzdine

How are you suppose to play Halo, Titan Fall, Forza, Fable, Quantum Break , Sunset Overdrive,Dead Rising 3 and more?

qu1ckset3802d ago

Halo is slowly getting old, wish they would go back to the halo2 style , Titan Fall is also on PC, Forza vs GT ? , and the rest who cares people will live with out then and not even flitch, and this is coming from a xbox and xbox360 die hard before you make some stupid fanboy comment!

maddskull3802d ago

no need for these games and microsoftt are statring to milk halo and playstation has more games that are better

pootymcpoockle3802d ago (Edited 3802d ago )

Halo is on it's way out. Fable died after the second installment, and Dead Rising is by no stretch of the word a must have. If there's any console I'm worried about these days, it's the Xbox. Their exclusives have near dwindled into non-existence! My current console is the 360, and the only games I couldn't have gotten anywhere else are Halo, Gears of War, and Forza. Even Forza can easily be substituted for Gran Turismo, and after that there's not really anything left that's desirable.

Magicite3802d ago

Buy 2nd hand after years when everything is heavily discounted.
Or simply You dont at all.

Joey_Leone3802d ago

You guys got Halo, WE DON’T WANT IT! We got Uncharted and GT, YOU DON’T. lol

Not only that, but he actually just simply enjoys gaming culture. It's refreshing to see someone at the forefront of console development who really understands and can sympathize with a fan base, execute those ideas successfully, and push out a product that we can all enjoy genuinely without having to settle.

Mikey322303802d ago

Why cant sony make some simplisticly fun games like nintendo does... they wouldnt even have to spend time of graphics or anything.

I know sony makes some great creative games (tearaway, flower, Journey, and so many more) but nothing that is completely iconic like nintendo does.

Dont get me wrong, i love PS Games, im a sony guy through and through... i just feel like it should be fairly simple to do, look how many times nintendo has done it

deafdani3802d ago

You think Nintendo doesn't spend time on graphics?

:/

bigfish3802d ago

he's only doing that because the PS4 is performing well, if the shoe was on the other foot and it was PS4 that was performing badly - do you seriously think he would give two shits for the WII U?

HonestDragon3802d ago

I totally agree with that. He knows what it is to be a gamer and connect with the consumers.

@abzdine With the new rush of games lining up for the Wii U and the stellar performance of the PS4 so far, I'd totally say I found my choices for this new generation.

Shnazzyone3801d ago

C'mon sony peoples, give peace a chance.

Better believe it!
and why not own it, system is the shit!

MajorLazer3802d ago

I think you added 'the' by accident

HonestDragon3802d ago

Especially after seeing that latest Nintendo Direct? Oh, yeah, Wii U is definitely going to make huge strides. Can't wait for that new Mario Kart and Smash Bros.

"PlayStation Exec Owns Two Wii Us, Loves the New Mario"

Doesnt everybody ? He hates MS so much he is rooting for Nintendo :P

3dmariofan683802d ago (Edited 3802d ago )

Yes it is actually Nice, to see someone who is Mature that has the word sony affiliated with them, to say something nice about nintendo, they are good friends, and thank goodness they are mature enough to not want Nintendo to fail.

Majin-vegeta3802d ago

He owns a Japanese Wii U and an American version of WII U.
