Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster Offscreen Menu Screenshots

Recent off-screen menu screenshots of Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster for PS3 & PS Vita, confirmed that Last Mission will be included in Final Fantasy X-2 HD Remaster.

In additional, Final Fantays X HD remaster will include 60 rearranged sound tracks from Masashi Hamauzu; and both FFX and FFX-2 will have trophies support.

You don't know how much I was hoping for Last Mission. Whilst it didn't receive the warmest reception, it is still part of the X|X-2 mythos, and as this will most probably be the last time these games are touched, I want to be able to do everything that these games offer!

Last Mission is a storyline-based mission set three months after the defeat of Vegnagun where Yuna, Rikku, and Paine meet up for the first time since going their separate ways after their victory to explore the recently-discovered Yadonoki Tower ruins.

The tower has 80 levels with a boss battle on every 20th level. On every 10th level, the girls have a conversation regarding current events in their lives and in Spira, adding many post-game conclusions for NPCs. These conversations can be altered depending on how the player begins the mission.

It's got a different style of gameplay, and I'm not exactly 100% keen on it if I'm honest, but as it is part of the International version and we are receiving these remasters, I would hope that we got everything that these games entail; we now do! :D

I would really like to know how the Vita version is going to be packaged and priced. SE can't honestly expect us to pay more for both games than the PS3 owners ($39.99). I'm also curious to see how large the downloads will be. Perhaps they'll sell it as a bundle, but have 1 game on a cartridge and the other as a downloadable title?

I'm really hoping it's just simply $20 a game (hard copy), and possibly a bundle with both. At least Last Mission is on PS3 and Vita versions.

Both games on the PS3 are $40 together, so it would only make sense that each game separately on the Vita would be $20. But then again....it is Square Enix.

And that's what has me troubled. I mean, to me, your average consumer, there is no logic to charging more for both games on Vita. I like the idea of $20 each, or $40 both both (two cases/carts?). My real concern is SE will release them separately at $30 each and people won't buy.

We'll know soon enough, but my fingers are crossed that I can buy both for $40 total and be done with it :)

Unless you prefer midi version of songs, i don't see the problem. Besides, Masashi Hamauzu is a great composer, "A dream that will end some time", "people of the north pole", "Besaid Island", "wandering"... that's him, not Uematsu (I also love his work)

Man, I really wish they would have done X and XII instead of X-2. I'd be all over it. I'll probably just download X if they do them separately. I hated X-2... freakin' Final Fantasy Barbie edition. I don't want to play dress-up... I want to play a JRPG. As if the genre wasn't androgynous enough, I don't need it going full on Japanese pillow partner.

I agree and disagree...they put x-2 because of it being a sequel makes better sense. I also know what you mean by SE pissing ppl off. So what I did to not worry so much about all this complaining of games and stuff is I bought a sega genesis...lol, just to past the time

I never palyed XII, but I watched my wife play through it, all 80+ hours, and I would love to play this on the Vita/PS3 (HD). I hope that if these sell well, we'll see a remake of XII some day soon.

As much as I like X (probably more than XII) I think I'd rather have had just XII ported, mostly because it's just a lot more fun to actually play.

It's a damned shame SE didn't use FFXII's battle system ever again. You'd think they could at least use it in non-FF games. Easily the best turn-based combat system I've ever seen in gaming.

As much as I love FFXII, it would be weird if they were to do X and XII; they aren't connected in anyway other than by name - whereas X-2 is a direct sequel (like it or not). So it does make sense... However, we've already heard that the popularity of this remaster will determine whether they do any more in the future, and as their reason for creating this remaster in the first place was to make the game more accessible to those who didn't play it on the PS2 (as that was the only console to play it on), this could spell similar treatment for Final Fantasy XII which was also the last game on the PS2.

If you ask me, Final Fantasy XII will almost certainly be remastered eventually. Anyway, my point is, FFX-2 was the perfect game to accompany FFX simply because it's its sequel.

I want both the PS3 and Vita versions, this is my favorite 3D final fantasy, Final Fantasy VI (FF:III SNES US version) is my favorite 2D version. I count FF:VII in a league of its own being in 2.5D and still the greatest Final Fantasy title to date!

I really hope they don't charge an arm and a leg for Vita owners like myself that choose to get both console and handheld versions. If anything Sony should be giving us discounts for getting both at release!

Here in my country X and X2 for Vita are prepriced at about $42 a piece so I'm not too optimistic about the value for Vita owners. Then again X2 is crap but it would still be nice to have. I tend to play anything on Vita

Still hope you can choose languages. If it's possible, I guess it will be under options in the individual game menus.
