in their new achievement system, players can earn their favourite titles and a wad of wonderful gold. There are over 400 achievements and titles to choose from ranging from "PvP Noob" all the way to "Kind of a Big Deal".
Secondly, along with the achievements, a new set of masks is becoming available in the shape of the Three Little Pigs. The masks will go alongside the many other unlock able aesthetic touches that you can unlock in the game.
American McGee has denied claims his Shanghai-based development studio Spicy Horse is closing down. A post to Chinese social media platform Weibo announced "Spicy Horse to close this week, thanks for the three years", but McGee was quick to dismiss the rumour.
I'm currently enjoying Alice: Madness Returns which is I bought for $2 during a PSN flash sale. It's a very interesting creepy platformer.
It'd be interesting to see Spicy Horse work on another project.
I'm curious... what has McGee and his studio produced in the last several years to even keep things going?? It's a genuine question.
I've enjoyed all his works. All I can say is that I hope he continues in some fashion. Loved the Alice games, Madness Returns definitely went unappreciated over all.
Spicy Horse Games, the folks behind Akaneiro: Demon Hunters and Alice: Otherlands, the later of which was recently successfully funded on KickStarter, have today announced that they will be donating $40,000 worth of Akaneiro: Demon Hunters Karma to Operation Supply Drop.
At least some devs are doing something useful with their money
*cough*Activision*Cough*.
American McGee and Lulu are calling Alice fans to support Alice: Otherlands in the final hours of the Kickstarter. Alice: Otherlands only has 43 hours left and still needs another $25,000 to be fully funded. American has already acquired the film rights to the ‘Alice’ property, and plans to start working on a series of animated shorts based on the ‘Alice: Otherlands’ concept.
i love alice and the concept of the game....
im sorry, i cant backed a game that is not coming to my desired platform :(
So umm, Is this going to be a Movie or a Game?
and if its a game... All that DLC!!! Sad really...
@Dagobert
Ah right ok, This article would have been better suited on "Filmwatch".
I backed this, even if it's not a game but having American McGee's Alice become more popular is good enough for me so we can hopefully see another Alice game. I love the twisted world in Alice and the whole puzzle platformer aspect to it.
