So as gamers we want developers to push the boandaries etc. And then we criticize them because it takes too long to find voxophones or because a lot doesn't make sense unless u dig. Really? Ppl say why do u need a ship when u r on one...just use that. Booker actually made that reference and Elizabeth said no. I hear how fitzroy wasn't developed enough. Listen to the voxophones and u learn all about her and other conversations etc. help u understand the cause. It happened too fast or she turned evil too quickly. It had been heatiing up for awhile. And revolutions happen very fast. And look at lenin. He went from exile and leader to an evil ends justify the means kinda guy. It was also a caricature of two extremes in contrast.
I guess its a sign of a phenomonal game that can evoke so much discussion. Its so crazy that many ppl have eplayed the game just to see what parts didn't work so well. Yes, there was a ton of ideas packed in a short journey and this may be Infinites one greatest fault. They tried to push the envelope too far and it was hard to have an emotional connection with everything. I wanted more skylines., more patriots, more handymen, and definitely more songbird.
But in the end, this game is beyond a step in the right direction. I think that Levines desire to make a new one with next gen consoles supports my theory that Irrationals entire vision wasn't fully realized. I think they they spent so much time and money revoolutionizing certain aspects that others were done in similar fashion to the original. This doesn't make it bad but not fully realized. I am down because there worlds are so astounding that it makes playing other games less enjoyable. Though dark souls rocks.
