Top 10 3rd Party Characters I Would Like to See in Smash Brothers

Choosing 3rd party characters that I would like to see in Smash Brothers has been both very exciting and nearly impossible. Exciting, because there are so many awesome 3rd party characters on Nintendo platforms to choose from. Impossible, for the very same reason. Although my list is essentially just a list of Andrew favorites, I think that I managed to capture some broader appeal as well.

And don’t forget, like my Top 10 1st Party Characters I Would Like to See in Smash Brothers which preceded this list, I’m going to add in some stage designs for each of my characters as well, because I love you all so very much."

Travis Touchdown just feels like he belongs in Smash Bros.

IMO Travis feels like a necessary character to have in the next SSB.

Others I want:

Bayonetta- Feels guaranteed after the exclusitivity of Bayonetta 2

Connor/Any Assassin's Creed Character- This series is one of the only great third party series scheduled to come to Wii U. Plus an AC character would be fun to use.

Batman: Like Assassin's Creed, this is one of the only other great third party franchise still coming to Wii U atm. Plus who wouldn't want to see Batman take on Captain Falcon. :D

Nightmare: Namco is helping with the game, so it feels almost certain.

Kazuya: Same as Nightmare, I would also like Heihachi but I'm not sure if its possible given the fact that he's in PSAS

Megaman: Could still work even though the MML3 travesty took place

I also want to see Snake and Sonic to return. And maybe Namco will add even more characters.

SSB isn't like Marketing All Stars, Snake And Sonic are both almost as famous as Mario, Megaman is the only non Nintendo first party character i see maybe coming to SSB. And batman is famous but not as famous as Snake or Sonic in gaming.

Mega Man is the only good one on this list in my opinion. Hopefully him and Pac-Man will get in. And I want the ORGINIAL Mega Man, not X. I want Mario Vs. Sonic Vs. Mega Man Vs. Pac-Man, not Mario Vs. Sonic Vs. Mega Man X Vs. Pac-Man

I don't get Okami and Resident Evil being in Smash Bro's. The others sure I can because they started on Nintendo systems.

Okami was first released on the Playstation 2 and wasn't released on the Wii until two years after that. It even ended up on the PS3 again in 2012. Resident Evil started with Sony, the game literally first appeared on the Playtation in 1996 and no other system at the time.

So how are these two included? Yes they ended up on Nintendo later on but they both didn't start there or stay there and they definitely aren't exclusive either.

People asking for Sonic in Smash Bro's also? Really.. and asking for Snake when MGS started on Playstation? Snake would appear in All Stars Battle Royale before he ever shows his face in Smash Bro's.

They already have Raiden from MGR, sure not by the same people but still.. Makes more sense these characters stick to their origins.

Kind of funny even hearing people ask for Bayonetta.. Man so many supporters of that game are already pissed off enough that its exclusive to a system that it didn't even start on. So you guys want Bayonetta also just because Nintendo bought them out?

Again that game started on a different system doesn't make much sense it completely strays from where it originated. Exclusively bought or not.

I'll agree this list sounded like a pipe dream but they were who the author wanted not predictions and to some extent I agree with him I would also love To see many of the characters he named inside smash bros.

But I think
The reasons you named have nothing to do with the fact that we won't see any off these characters in smashbros excluding megaman.

First solid snake was on a Nintendo system long before he came to Sony and that's not even where he started. Second sonic vs Mario is something the fans had been clamoring for, for a long time which is why we saw him.

And finally why past exclusivity dictate anything that's extremely narrow minded. Will we see characters like Leon and amaterasu no not likely. But would it make sense for Nintendo to get characters from games like this,
Absolutely. However Nintendo obviously should go for games that have seen exclusive realeses on a Nintendo system. Like tekken or monster hunter or even okami and resident evil.

Um... you do realize that Snake is already in Smash Brothers, right? He is in Brawl.

Which also explains how other franchises that started elsewhere could work...

Been a while since I played Smash Bro's and I honestly never used snake, so yes I will gladly chalk that up as a big mistake on my behalf.. a very stupid one.

People were asking for Snake as if he hasn't been in it. So I assumed he hadn't since I never used em or even noticed him in the game before until now or enough to rememeber.

Definetely stupid of me.

I just got on the subject of the first two then figured I would jump on the rest without really thinking, my bad.

I still think Okami and Resident Evil really don't have a place in Smash Bro's. Especially Okami really has no reason to the Wii version is the same as all the others beside being able to use the Wiimote.

I guess I can somewhat understand Resident Evil since there was one exclusive game but I still don't understand it when there have been more Resident Evil's released on other systems.. Sure many of them have been on Nintnedo's also but some didn't even make it on Nintendo's at all.

When you think about it though Okami has two games in its series... Okami and Okamiden, and both appeared on Nintendo consoles, while only Okami appeared elsewhere.

Some of the characters that people want above are terrible ideas, assassins creed? Batman? jill valentine? no just no they don't fit at all.
Megaman though would be a great addition.
They could have Rayman, would be a nice idea since Ubisoft screwed WiiU owners a little bit with delays. I still want to see chibi robo lol Just look at the little guy he would be a perfect fit http://images1.wikia.nocook...

I'm pretty sure Pacman will be there. This new Smash game is being developed by Namco Bandai, and Pacman is Namco's oldest and most iconic character. Actually, Pacman is probably the second most iconic character in gaming history, right after Mario.

Add to that the fact that Namco has already worked with Nintendo on two Mario Kart games for arcade machines, and Pacman was in both games... so, yes, I'm 99% sure Pacman will be in the next Smash Bros. Right now, he's the most likely third party character to appear in the game, IMO.

I wouldn't be surprised if we saw Pacman and a Tales of character in there is well. If Namco is developing it I wouldn't be surprised if they threw in a small handful of their own characters in it. Symphonia was a huge hit on the Gamecube. It would not surprise me at all to see Lloyd in the game and/or Pacman.

I would rather see more Nintendo characters make the list, For one, all the protagonists should have their antagonist, like King K rool, hades from kid icarus,or the black death wing or whatever from F Zero,Ridly somehow. Maybe shulk can be in the game, megaman is a good third party choice.
