MLB '07: The Show was released on the Sony PS3 last year, a few months after it was available on the PS2 and PSP. Even though many considered it to be the best baseball game on any console, it was still hampered by quite a few issues. The developers have gone back to the drawing board, and now have given us MLB '08: The Show. Did they do enough to hit a home run, or did they trip getting into the batter's box?
It is clear that the power of the PS3 was used this year to greatly improve The Show. The second you jump into a game you will immediately notice the huge visual improvements over last year's game, which looked more like a high-res version of the PS2 version than a full-blown PS3 release.
The MLB: The Show franchise exclusively on PlayStation platforms, has driven baseball simulators to the next level with the most realistic and detailed games from the sport. Today TheGamerAccess.com is glad to announce that they have one of the Senior Producers of MLB 09: The Show with them to answer some of their questions.
Well, coming from a developer which contributed to the finest sports game I've ever played running 1080p native + 60 fps, I believe every word he's got to say.
nice interview, the game is looking great and I know there is more power on the PS3 that they can pull out.
If not THE greatest.
MLB: The Show is simply a must-have for ANY baseball fan.
This isn't opinion, it's hands-down a fact.
Sony could make an NFL franchise right now if they wanted. 2K sports has an exclusive hold on the baseball franchise rights but since The Show is not 3rd party it can be made, same with an nfl title
Professional sports have dealt with doping from track & field, to cycling, baseball, pro football, wrestling, boxing, and just about any sport you can think of. Taking that information and looking at many of athletes that have existed in the gaming world has resulted in suspicions that maybe some of these digital athletes were doping like A-Rod and the real players.
Without further ado, here are 10 game characters suspected of using "power ups" to enhance their game.
It won GameStooge's Best RPG of 2008, Best Xbox 360 Game of 2008, and Best PC Game of 2008, and it captures the overall prize. There are so many factors that made Fallout 3 so special: the look of the game, making even a post-apocalyptic desert beautiful; the theme and setting; the storyline and voice acting; the VATS system and action; the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. and Karma roleplaying game elements; from beginning to end, Fallout 3 felt like an event. Kudos for Bethesda, who have the unenviable task of trying to one-up their own creation.
Best Game of 2008: Fallout 3
Best PC Game of 2008: Fallout 3
Best Xbox 360 Game of 2008: Fallout 3
