WC: Have you ever owned a video game that was considered taboo? I mean a game that was either so awkward or so terrible that you had to play it behind closed doors and/or stash it the moment you heard a knock on your door? Those are the kind of video games every gamer is embarrassed to own. Here is a list of ten such titles for you to better understand.
It´s been a very long time since I (Robin Ek, TGG) played a crazy shmup game of the likes of "Parodius". Well, say hello to RMAL´s shoot-em-up game "A grande bagunça espacial".
Some games are unique and innovative, while others are just flat out bizarre.
Japan will get Bonk’s Adventure, a TurboGrafx-16 game, and the MSX version of Parodius.
The Mario Party Series does not deserve to be on the list. Drunk friends playing Mario Party it pure gold.
"DNF manage to sell pretty well, and there are those who even dared to post gameplay videos of it on YouTube. Have these people no shame? Don’t they at least feel embarrassed?"
nope duke nukem wasn't the only one to get a crap sequel: turok, wolfenstein ,quake and some other game series got really bad sequels some may be intentionally like postal 3 but generally all were bad games for each respective series. DNF doesnt stand out being a the worst because there´s clearly alot of bad games out there.
The only game i was embarrassed to own was Turning Point..such a cool idea ruined by rushed development.
The author seems to have a hang up on sexual themes being embarrassing. I'll admit some of the things mentioned are cringe worthy in this regard, but if people are embarrassed because of innuendo in their games then they probably have other issues to deal with. By his reasoning, we should be embarrassed by 99% of all sitcoms that we may enjoy.
