Well the big day is literally a few hours away folks and the Game-Modo crew are getting rather excited for santas visit. What better way to get us into the festive mood than to playing games that get us into the Christmas spirit.
Check out the games we like playing at Christmas. What games get you into the Christmas spirit?
Is Disney Dreamlight Valley like Animal Crossing? Life sim fans will find some big differences between the two alongside core parallels.
Enthusiastic developers told us about new Zeds, new mods, new engine, new everything, but showed us very little of the actual game. Our short Gamescom meeting gave us perspective on the upcoming title through many interesting, but very hesitant answers from the developers.
Graphically it looks quite nice. And I believe this is the first time they're using a new engine rather than a previous one.
Gunplay always felt really good with the KF games. My only complaint with this game and similar ones like L4D is that they become too predictable after a bit, so it gets quite boring. If the game doesn't have AI learning then at least give the enemies more methods of attacking players.
VS mode didn't work in KF2 because the game and enemies weren't designed for it from the start, that's what happens when it's tacked on and also takes place in an arena, it just becomes a camping game. Game mode wise I would prefer regular survival mode and one or two others, like a coop campaign and something else, but if they add VS it's gotta be done right from the beginning.
Did the games make people want to say "Yippie ki yay?" Not exactly.
Die Hard Trilogy on the PS1 is the GOAT DH game.
It was also kinda crazy to think it had 3 entirely different types of game in it. Driving, third person shooter and a rail / light gun shooter.
I had the Scorpion light gun for this game. It was awesome. Loved all 3 back in the day.
For me die hard trilogy was the best one. They should actually do another one in memory of Bruce Willis. Sad what happened to him.
They skipped the old PC game where Caps Lock turned on God mode. We played that a ton.
If you get a new game and enjoy it around Christmas time one year, it'll feel like a Christmas time game the year after.
Shenmue 1 and 2 always gets me into the Christmas spirit. I still own them for the Dreamcast and usually play them both every Christmas (Although I haven't this year). The ingame date is around Christmas time (November 29th I think) and it just makes me feel all nostalgic and reminds of me of being a kid again, when I used to get super excited about Christmas.
We'll never get a sequel =[
Games don't get me into the Christmas spirit. Lights, snow, the Christmas service, being with family, Christmas movies.....THOSE put me in the Christmas spirit.
