From the creators Abandon Interactive Entertainment, Freaky Pets is a more family-friendly version of their MMO Freaky Creatures, originally launched in 2009 as a free MMO game.
CSM - Freaky Pets is free to play online with a single pet, the Purriz. The world is small right now with only a handful of mini-games for kids to play. The mini-games are diverse and well designed, and include racing and dance games which have difficulty levels that span of dexterity of kids 9 year olds to young teens.
Popular online kid sites like Club Penguin have pretty much set the standard for these types of games, and Freaky Pets doesn’t deviate much from the formula. You begin the game by choosing which of your pets you would like to play with (you name them when your code is redeemed). All of the pets are shown in a sort of rock hill with individual caves for each animal. When you redeem a code, you are given the online only Purriz as a gift, so your child will have two animals to choose from right away. However, all of those other empty caves will serve as a frequent reminder of how many pets they don’t have.
