Martian Marines Land on the Indie Game Scene

This is a brief feature on the newly released casual PC game - Martian Marine Lander. It was developed by indie developer Christopher Robinson.

Martian Marine Lander is about world domination. It was inspired by the classic retro title Lunar Lander. The goal of this single player action/strategy game is to conquer the planet Earth by successfully landing a transport ship full of Martian marines in 40 key invasion zone locations. The player will need to defend themselves from various earth weapons, weather conditions and other obstacles that will try to prevent them from landing. It has two modes of play, a variety of upgrades and three levels of difficulty.

Martian Marine Lander is now available to try for free and purchase through their website at www.martianmarinelander.com.

I think we should start a petition to put guns on the Eiffel Tower.

Edge: The Friday Game: Lunar Lander

Edge writes: "Technology's often quite good at shrinking things – and that's not just true of the technology that comes inside transistor radios. Take time, for instance: with the likes of Flash, XNA, and Java, games that might once have needed six months or a year to coax into life can now be designed and coded in the space of a few days, and then published, played, and thoroughly critiqued over the course of a weekend."
