From the PlanetXbox360.com feature review:
"It’s time to be brutally honest here. Usually, when we get an official title based on that year’s Olympic events – from Sega, for the past few years – it falls short of the potential. There are some saving graces we’ve seen over the years, like Mario & Sonic At the Olympic Games back in 2008, when the two had never worked together in a title before, but for the most part, anything official has been lackluster. That’s why it’s kind of a welcome surprise to see London 2012, a game that actually has some effort behind it, mainly in its online features and Kinect support."
One Hit Pixel - United Front Games' latest title takes top spot, with New Super Mario Bros 2 in second and the London 2012 title in third.
Fingers crossed for Darksiders 2. I'm just 2 hours in and it's great fun and rich in content.
If you want to get a taste of the Olympics once again without watching everything once more on BBC iPlayer, you can always try out the game, but you will be missing out on a large number of sports. The game features 46 events from 13 sports, pretty stingy when compared to 304 events from 36 sports that we just witnessed over the past couple of weeks. London 2012 clearly doesn’t quite match the real thing for events to take part in, but the bigger question is, are they any good to play?
GodisaGeek: "Although the London 2012 Olympics have now drawn to a close (we shed a tear, did you?) the official video game is still going strong, holding the top spot in the UK charts for another week."

Can't wait, game looks good too - renting it now!
I remember getting the Athens Olympic game. Never had my controller had such a bashing especially the X and O buttons.
