Interesting. The Xbox brand has already shamed the Crash Bandicoot name to the point of no return, so lets just revel in the days of the PS1 classics, and let the series as a whole die. Crash Bandicoot was dead once it lost it's PS exclusitivity anyway, so we shouldn't have a problem forgetting about it. Glad to say that this video will never become an actual game.

JBSleek4330d ago

So you wouldn't want a Crash game because it isn't exclusive anymore? I rather not forget about a game I grew up with.

I wish Activision would come out with a reboot for next generation consoles.

aPerson4329d ago

The franchise doesn't need a reboot. The games all follow a basic story anyway: Cortex has an evil plan and Crash must stop him.

All the franchise needs is a game that plays similar to the originals with updated gameplay and it'll be fine.

Wintersun6164330d ago

Wow, you are so delusional. Crash Bandicoot became crap because Naughty Dog stopped developing those games, not because it released on a non-PS console. If they had been done by ND after CB3 & CTR for multiple platforms, I'm sure they would've been awesome too.

Getowned4329d ago

I would love a new CTR lol

-Gespenst-4330d ago

Crash will never be the same because ND stopped developing it, just as Spyro will never be the same because Insomniac stopped developing it.

Nothing to do with exclusivity.

ChronoJoe4329d ago (Edited 4329d ago )

Maybe with the sale of Activision Blizzard a lot of things will be shaken up. Maybe Spyro and Crash will become good games, maybe Insomniac will approach them (as a third party studio) to make a new spyro game, maybe Sony will be given an opportunity to buy those intellectual properties.

One can dream.

SlipperyMooseCakes4329d ago

That has nothing to do with it. It's not because it is on another platform, it's because they were developed by a different developer. If Naughty Dog were independent and still producing Crash Bandicoot games, they would be great on both the Xbox 360 and PS3.

JKelloggs4329d ago

No, Activision and Radical Ent has done that, not Xbox

DialgaMarine4329d ago

lol @ the people who say it's not because of non-exclusitivity, but because ND stopped developing it. Hey dumbasses, guess what? Sony owns ND. If ND were to develop Crash games, they would have to be exclusive to PS. No PS exclusivity = no ND. Fact.

Also, you call me delusional? Look at how many once great franchises have gone to shit, thanks to Microsoft and their Shitbox. Banjo, Perfect Dark, Dino Crisis, Crash, Spyro, and the list goes on. Any game published on Xbox eventually turns to complete shit. Fact.

is it made by naughty dog? if not then it will never be the same again even if its real :(

edit: but he really did a great job on this

Skateboard4330d ago

Sony is stupid for selling this franchise.

izumo_lee4330d ago

It was not theirs in the first place to begin with. The games were actually owned by i believe Universal who the original creators (Andy Gavin & Jason Rubin) were working for at the time. Universal made a 3 game deal with Sony to publish the games for their new system.

After that publishing deal was done Universal decided to take the game & character in new directions by making it multiplatform.

Skateboard4330d ago (Edited 4330d ago )

Oh ok, thank you for correcting me.

Skateboard4330d ago (Edited 4330d ago )

Double ####

Neko_Mega4330d ago

You mean naughty dog, because they were the ones that sold it. Not Sony.

smashcrashbash4329d ago

Always easy to blame Sony for everything isn't it? It never belonged to them. It wasn't theirs to sell.

RedDeadLB4330d ago

This is absolutely amazing, makes me nostalgic. I think I'll go play the old games on PS1 :)

I have some many fond memories as a 10 year old gamer from back then! The best of times!

Dfooster610d ago

Yeah that is a good choice. Great times

Snakeeater25610d ago

Lol Nintendo 64 … talk about a shitty year for gaming

Old McGroin609d ago

The N64 was amazing at the time, how old are you, 12?

CobraKai609d ago

Mario 64, Mario Kart, WaveRace. They’re prolly too young to appreciate em. My kids love the N64.

Terry_B609d ago

No..1996 was not a good start for the N64. The system had a lousy start in comparison to the SNES, Playstation and probably even the Sega Saturn.

CobraKai609d ago

So…. Nevermind the first time Resident Evil or Tomb Raider was released, a damn near arcade perfect port of Tekken 2, Quake, Wipeout, Crash Bandicoot, Super Mario RPG, Nights, Panzer Dragoon Zwei? It’s shitty cuz the old N64 is it?

BrainSyphoned610d ago (Edited 610d ago )

More of a 97 person myself.
FF7, Symphony of the Night, Gran Turismo, Grand Theft Auto, Dynasty Warriors, Diablo, Fallout, Tomb Raider 2, Mega Man Legends, GoldenEye, Turok, Wing Commander Prophecy, Star Fox 64, Einhander, Tobal 2, Bushido Blade, Colony Wars, Ultima Online. Was a great year to start working at Funcoland.

You beat me to it. I loved both years, but 97 was one of my favorite years ever.

Marcello609d ago

2013 was a good year too. Dead Space 3, The Last of Us, GTA5, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Tomb Raider reboot, Bioshock Infinite, Batman: Arkham Origins, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Grid 2 & more.

Limitedtimestruggle609d ago

Dead Space 3? That game only deserves to be on rock-bottom lists. In my honest opinion.

Marcello609d ago

Its is very Marmite that game but to me it was only that love story nonsense that was bad, really bad.
