Dark Souls - Dark Souls DLC Exclusive: The Sanctuary Guardian - Boss Breakdown

IGN takes an exclusive look at The Sanctuary Guardian. This boss will be seen in the Prepare to Die edition, and the Artorias of the Abyss DLC coming later this year.

You know, I was thinking of just waiting for the DLC, but I might as well get the steam version in august, since by then I'll have my new PC. As long as it plays okay with my ps3 controller.

I_LOVE_MYSELF4322d ago

I hope it works out well for you on PC. I don't have the PC to play it so I am waiting for the DLC. I am having so much fun on this game right now and the community is brilliant (troll the cry babies and fight with honour against the respectable players). I can imagine the PC community having a lot of fun with this one. Just praying they fix the frame rate issues for you.

TitanUp4322d ago

just about all pc games can run at stable 60fps. with the right hardware of course but i don't think us pc users are going to experience the bad fps.

TheFirstClassic4322d ago

@farsendor I think I heard the fps would be locked at 30.

grahf4322d ago

Framerate isn't locked, per-say, its just going to be a straight port without any upgrading to the engine or graphics or resolution.

Skate-AK4322d ago

They said its a straight up 360 port and they can't go back and fix the framerate in Blighttown and other places.

most modern pc games support 360 controller but youtube has tutorial videos on how to get ps3 controller working on pc.

TopDudeMan4322d ago

Yeah, I've been using it for ages on my netbook with sega megadrive games, I know how to do it.

grahf4322d ago

ACK! Spoilers!
Can't watch... must defeat on my own...

StrawberryDiesel4204322d ago

lol I was thinking the same thing when I saw footage from this year's E3.

Ramas4322d ago

can anyone confirm that there will be prepare to die edition on consoles? or only dlc? couse i sold my copy of the game. But i would buy it again if they release new version with that dlc included.

StrawberryDiesel4204322d ago

As of now, only DLC. Most likely will stay that way too...

Skate-AK4322d ago

Yup. Might wanna pick up a used copy cause its going to be DLC only.

Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition - Souls Debuted on PC 10 Years Ago

Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition saw the Souls series debut on PC 10 years ago today, alongside Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 re-releases.

Yer and it was awful (the port not the game).

luckytrouble611d ago

Still use it as my go to on Steam, but I will never make the mistake of booting it up without mods ever again.

MadLad611d ago (Edited 611d ago )

And it was garbage.
Luckily it was easily fixed by a modder who actually wanted a good product to be sold to people.
