Two ships or two sets of ships taking turns to shoot the crap out of one another as the elements conspire against them, few things are more exciting or tactical. Sadly, it’s a genre that’s rather underrepresented in videogames. Oh, sure, sometimes you’ll get a naval level in a strategy game (or the next Assassin’s Creed), but nothing based completely around naval warfare."

Everyone finds different games relaxing, as some may switch off slaying zombies, whilst others can disconnect through tending their crops.
If you’re looking to shut away from the world for a few hours, here are some games you should consider playing
DOOM. Nothing like taking out swarms of demons with a shotgun and chainsaw to relieve your mental anguish.
Any games where you slowly work towards an objective are great for this, especially if they have a colorful aesthetic. Harvest Moon got me through some tough years in my teens.

Dope game, that has a dark side. I got it for a couple of bucks while on sale. I freaking love how deep this game is. Farming, Church, Dungeons, Alchemy, Cooking, Fishing, Mining, GraveKeeping, Surgeon and Sidequests. I definitely recommend this one...

I bring this up because Windward is similar in a lot of respects to Pirates. Both are games where you and your crew sail around a large chain of islands and mainlands representing your chosen faction, attacking other ships, trading goods, fighting in wars, and gaining standing and reputation."
Oh my goodness, how can I approach this preview without mentioning Sid Meier’s Pirates?
Well I can’t. I absolutely loved Pirates, warts and all, and my word there were some nasty warts in that game.
