TimeShift had a fairly muted launch in 2007, and while it doesn't rewrite the FPS rulebook it does offer an enjoyable campaign even now.
Never heard of this game until someone mentioned it here last year. Played it and it basically represents most games from the PS3/Xbox360 era—good graphics, amazing physics, and extremely fun gameplay (time powers rock), but barely any story, weird pacing, and at least one annoying AF level. I finished Prototype last week and the same applies, except Strike Teams. Fuck Strike Teams.
VGChartz's Evan Norris: "Is Ocarina of Time as legendary as I remembered it? For the most part, yes. In spite of a handful of missteps — a few obtuse puzzles, some tedious backtracking, and a clunky stealth sequence — I don't believe the last 23 years have been unkind to it. Ocarina remains a brilliant example of the medium, a landmark game that shaped the future of its own franchise and 3D gaming in general. After more than two decades it retains its inventive dungeon design, challenging puzzles, dynamic combat, wistful storyline, unforgettable music, and empowering open-air freedom. I feel confident calling it one of the greatest games of the fifth generation, even if I'm no longer prepared to list it among the five best games ever made."
Pure unadulterated fun. They don't make them like this anymore...especially not the triple A industry.
Gary Green said: You’ll be forgiven if you haven’t heard of the Ar Tonelico trilogy. The previous two games arrived so late in the PS2’s life-cycle that they simply went unnoticed. While most were tinkering with their shiny new PS3s, Ar Tonelico: Melody of Elemia and Ar Tonelico II: Melody of Metafalica were being ‘returned to sender’ by your local Game stores. Luckily, you won’t need to have played them to understand and appreciate this third and final chapter, Qoga (pronounced k-yoga) tells the story of a racial war between humans and Reyvateils, a breed of biologically produced female cyborgs capable of reproduction, while still having a digital mind.
Oh my god. I kinda wish this would get a remaster on PS5, it would be awesome. One of my favorite games on PS3.
That and 3D Dot Game Heroes. It's a shame that some stuff is stuck on PS3.
Ar Tonelico 3 is good I still prefer the first AT game. The music is solid in all the games and Akiko Shikata is a very talented singer bringing life to the game. Only annoying part is well I find is Saki I always choose Finnel or Tyria. KOEI so needs to HD remaster the franchise along with Ar Nosurge and Ciel Nosurge since it never came to North America. I would day one the Ar Toneliceo games and Ar Nosurge if they were remastered.
I still have the limited edition of Qoga unopened. Unfortunately it never went up in value like I had hoped all these years.
Used to own all these quirky JRPG on ps3 good times. Wish I would have kept them all
WTF!? Didn't another news story say Lost Odyssey god 33/40 or something? Now this one says 36/40!?
+ Great score for No More Heroes.
there seems to be some discrepancy with lost odyssey reviews. IT says 9999 but earlier on today it was 9888 plus if you scroll down to 360 specific reviews it says 9888. Which is it?
the funny thing is that lost odessey is the one that will have the sales... japan is such an interesting region and culture. i so wanna play lost odessey. it seems interesting. it's the only xbox game that has me really excited.. i hope it's better than freakin blue dragon... none the less it's good to see uncharted getting world aclaim ^^ i wonder what the sales of that game is going to be.
depends on how hard sony pushes the game in the region. Advertising will play a mojor role. Will probably be more than ratchet and clank but the real game most ps3 owners will be purchasing this week will be winnin eleven
Doesnt Gt prologe come out in japan?? That should be a good game, and Ut3 comes out in NA dec 11. I cant wait for UT3.
