The features removed from that E3 2005 prototype were 2 ethernet ports, 2 USB ports and 1 HDMI port. Every single PS3 model ever released to retail has 1 HDMI port.

This is exactly the type of lies and misconceptions that gave the PS3 a bad reputation during the first year or so.

I think he's saying that most people who only see one or two things on the PS3 that they think are good are usually misinformed. Like, "I only see Uncharted and God of War... and, that's about it". Everyone knows the system has a lot more to offer, but most people out there don't see, or don't care to see what it is.

The dumb thing about statements like that is that anyone can use them on any one particular system. Like, "Oh, I only see Gears of War and Halo on the 360; or, I only see Zelda and Mario on the Wii". Every system has a lot more to offer than just a few games, but I think people who only have maybe a passing interest a particular system say stuff like that.

I really agree with a lot of what was said. PS3 has taken more than it's share of punches since literally day 1, but at the end of the day, Sony has hung in there and actually done pretty well considering all of PS3's "faults." Microsoft, considering it's year head start and it's historically cheaper price, are far from having a run away victory. It's actually ironic that the things Microsoft criticized Sony for like HDMI, native 1080p, large hard drive, etc. were unnecessary for gamers, yet they added that stuff to their Xbox, which brought about the Elite and a HIGHER price tag, while Sony started out with all that and more under the hood, and actually managed to bring the price DOWN to the same 299.99. If not for anything else, you have to give respect to Sony for sticking to their gameplan. And I really agree with the last paragraph:

Something Kinda stupid....PS3's here used to be around 688 with a few games depending where you shopped. Now everywhere is sold out (ok i only checked two places), but JB Hifi now has the slim listed and its about $550, so thats our new price point in oz right? WRONG!
