E3 2009 in Playstation Home confirmed

James Gallagher, content producer for SCEE, has officially revealed through a reply to a comment on the EU Playstation.Blog that the SCEA press conference will be available to watch in Playstation Home.

You can use Gametrailers too, they're streaming it in HD, but the servers could break down due to too many users.

@1.2 - Yeah GT is doing live streams too, but their servers are really good, I'd be very surprised if the website crashes during the conferences.

We should be able to walk around in a virtual E3, walking up to a booth, playing demos, watching trailers/demonstrations.. THAT would be the bomb, this video of the sony conference is kinda 'meh' imo.

Home do something like this before, except they actually created a Home space of the trade show, where people could walk around the Sony show area and see the conference live? They did it in the closed beta.

What the point if you are watching it with your friends if you can not voice chat? Seriously? Hopefully the enable voice chat in this area so you can talk to your buddies rather than typing and having 50% of what you are going to say censored.

ENABLE voice chat for this area and this might not be a failure. If voice chat is enable, then they only way this might fail is what the other users might do. If you have some idiots pulling out their bubble machine and bubbling up the area, that is going to piss a lot of users off. Sony should disable the bubble machine for this area because it is annoying. I had it happen to me when I was playing in the arcade and some idiot put a bubble machine next to me and f@#ked my screen up.

You know if they are on your friends list, you can "call" them through your home menu and do voice chat in public spaces. It will only work if you have them on your friends list. Also I am not sure if you can or can't do this with multiple friends at once. But that should help you out so you don't have to cry about it.

I understand, I personally like it better now that retarded people aren't running around screaming profanities and racist nonsense.. Along with anyone who blasts music that no one else wants to hear. The thing is, so many people did it that muting them would tend to be tedious. Ever since I bought the wireless keypad for the controller home has been more enjoyable. I do wish that you could phone as many friends as you wanted at once like a voice chat room in home. Also it is kind of cool that you can phone friends even when they are in different home spaces than you.

A live feed in Home would be sweet but it's not like we won't have places to watch the live feeds.

Last year I watched the MS and Sony conferences on Gamespot which was pretty good.

As long as I can watch it I don't care where...I'll just have my laptop, desktop and PS3 running at the same time with different feeds just to make sure I don't miss out lol.

The good thing about using Home instead of GT is that you can see people thoughts on the announcements because people will be watching with you and text chatting! You can go in the room and watch it with your friends and we can both go AWOLLL over GoW3 and start dancing!!!!! E3 WAS MADE FOR HOME!

they will most likely give out free home items, clothing, etc. probley beta codes, free games, codes, and early demos if you attend e3 in playstation home. Its pretty much a no brainer to at least go there and be watching it on home and your computer at the same time at least. Im always thinking ahead to get that possible extra something they could be giving out.

I mean whenever E3 comes around I always use gamespot. Theyve always had great coverage, their own live show.

But most importantly as long as you get on the video page before it gets blocked up you can watch it in good quality. ive watched things in home before and the quality is just not there.

And with loads of people from home also using the ps3's power (cant think of a better word than power XD) how will the video run?

Yes it would be great if me and some friends all went on and watched it. But for the talking thing. Theres allways a forum where people talk about the show as its playing...
