The Force Is NOT Strong With This One

When I got LEGO Star Wars 2 at the game store, the guy told me it was "Basically the same game as the PS2/PSP versions". Well, believe me, it's not. Every aspect of the game from the low quality sound to the changed story missions that don't even make sense, have been weakened significantly in this version.

As far as gameplay goes, this is perhaps the biggest train wreck in Star Wars history. You can't choose which character to play as even after you beat the level, and the character creation is much worse in this version. You can't even name your characters! In addition, the story has been twisted around so badly, it's virtually impossible to understand(especially since the game just puts you in the level with practically no overview of what's going on at all). The game also suffers from a disasterous and glitchy camera which will most likely lead to unfair death after unfair death. The worst part of all is I actually traded in 4 games for this one.

The sound has also been significantly weakened. The music is either very low quality or has been changed completly, making the already terrible experience even worse. However, the one good thing that came out of this pinnacle of bad Star Wars games, was that the graphics were pretty good. It actually has some pretty good textures and detail. However this doesn't help the game much.

Basically, this game is nothing short of a disaster. It's not worh $30, it's not worth $20, and it's not even worth it for free. And as for the game store guy, my lawsuit is still pending ;)

The Most Wanted LEGO Games by Fans

Brandon Thompson writes: "With Traveller's Tales and Warner Bros locking down the rights to create Lego-based video games at least until 2016 and a stable of instant hits released and upcoming titles like Harry Potter on the way, we wanted to look at the licenses we'd most like to see teleported into the popular Lego Universe.

The series already has some great properties tapped like the Batman and Indiana Jones franchises among other big licenses, but we still couldn't help ourselves. Heck, maybe someone will take notice and the seed of an idea will get planted. A fanboy can dream right? So let's see what our top five most wanted Lego-based games are. Again, we don't number our top fives, as that's up to our readers to decide. These are simply our picks in no particular order."

I clicked without reading the title and thought the game was real. I would kill for a real Lego X-Men game.

What Would Kratos Do5127d ago

X-men and Star Trek would be great.
I'd like Stargate and Buffy too.

I think Buffy would be cool, but the Star Trek one has me excited. These are great ideas, but they just make me sad since it's all about 10% chance of EVER happening.

As much as I like this series, they never seem to change, it's just a new skin. It's quite annoying, really. I'd like Travellers Tales to have a new IP they create inhouse, like Haven on PS2, only this time better art design, because the game itself was great.

Very talented platform game studio, it's kind of a shame to keep them tied down.

it is a shame they are making basically the same game over and over, but hey I need something for me and my 5 year old son to play together and nothing is better than the lego games. I don't care who makes em but I know if I want to share my hobby with my son Lego games, QUALITY lego games would need to be in constant rotation.
