its happened 2 me sumtimes it keeps me in that loading screen and i never load out. I have seen so many bugs. 1 time i was running from guards and next thing i knw the game froze and everyone was stuck IN the floor frm the waist down and their necks stretched up to match the loss in height

1st Freeze: Leaving kingdom on horseback, preparing to jump
2nd Freeze: Running from guards.
3rd Freeze: Jumped into shack/hideout, it said I was cooling off while 5 guards were outside attacking me (not causing damage), I could not attack or get out.
4th Freeze: Loading screen, let it go for 2 mins jumped in shower after 10 was still loading.

It hasn't happened to me yet. But if this game ends up being glitchy it's going to take a lot for me to choose another PS3 title over the 360 version.

DMC 4 is gonna be fine on the PS3 since that version was the first version to be shown and is continuously being shown. It really does seem like Ubi didn't spend enough resources on this game though if all this crashing and freezing is true. I'd personally try to return the game and call the code defective.

There are apparently problems with some 360 owners as well mate on the forum game freezes etc etc, but i cannot confirm that as i don`t have one lol. PS3 is very buggy for some though, including me :(.

I don't know, just felt that Assassin's Creed was unfinished for both consoles. Both have framerate issues and screen tear issues. A couple of months delay would have benefitted this game.

screen tear means your tv can't match the refresh rate dictated by the game

I do believe that its actually to do with V-Sync and apparently `improving` framerate. Someone correct me if i`m wrong however.

Since you have both systems, just return your PS3 version and exchange it for the Xbox 360 version. It shouldn't be a problem if you tell them the truth.

There's hardly any bugs in this game, way to get riled up over absolutely nothing. Few problems with repetitive missions......

No bugs everywhere like they said earlier, its a great game and leave it the **** alone if you've not played it. Its a fun GAME, which in the end has some missions that aren't as good as they could be.

Unfortunetly there are bugs with the game on both 360 and PS3, some people are affected others are not, the game is not playable if it keeps freezing, I`ve actually stopped playing it until they sort the problems out because i have to turn my PS3 off at the switch to sort it out.

Nobody is bashing the game, from what i`ve played its quite fun but i cannot play it because of the freezing,

GRAW 1+2 had alot of serious issues with game lockups and freezing that I don't think are fixed, hopefully this will be.

Yeah Ive had it freeze during the loading area, and I had it freeze a couple times in the same spot, after going to the assassins bureau in Damascus when it is fastforwarding the memory.

For those of you that don't know me, I own a video game store and because of this, I've played both versions of Assassin's Creed. I've had a number of customers complaining about the Playstation 3 version freezing up. After playing it on the PS3, I made warnings of the Frame rate issues (to many of my customers and those that post on this site). I'm currently playing the Xbox 360 version and haven't encountered any of the problems that plague the PS3 version. So if you have both systems, I recommend buying the 360 version.

I'd be tempted to believe what I think you're trying to say if it made sense. So you own a shop and people you've sold AC to have complained about the performance on PS3? Then you played it on PS3 and made warnings of frame rate issues to people, whatever that means...

Do you mean you've played both and ps3 version has frame-rate issues whereas 360 version is fine? Just say so...

What do you mean by can't prove? Actually, when we are slow at the shop, I'll put multi-platform titles on for customers to compare themselves. I have a basis for everything I say.

looking at the forum post form the source I feel sorry for you PS 3 guys :( . This game is very glitchy. perhaps the 360 version was finished and ready but UBI was rushing trying to get both of them out at the same time and this is what happend ?? :(

This game is glitchy all over on both sytems, I have both versions (check my profile and you can see). I just noticed that an important story character's hair texture changed for no apparent reason, for the risk of spoiling it for those who don't have it I won't tell who and where but she was blonde, then brunette, then blonde again. Wtf Ubi?

Ugh I've noticed little things here and there like NPCs appearing out of nowhere and just walking but nothing like what just happened. I was on the way to a take out a target and jumped off a roof of a building and got stuck between an overhang and a wall with Altair's arms in the air like he's falling/trying to climb. Fortunately I've not done anything major since the last save so it'll take 3 mins to get back to where I was.

Glitches aside I'm glad I went with my own judgment instead of the reviews, the AI isn't as dumb as that Gametrailers video review showed it to be so I think they got review code or something. I tried replicating everything they did in the video and so far enemies have busted me doing it all. Also in swordfights enemies don't wait for you to finish fighting one guy like I was led to believe as I was attacked from all angles by everyone.

Yarr, she's irritating me so far too she's SO out of place. Her model doesn't even match everyone else's it looks lifeless with her face texture mapped. I'm thinking she just got tacked in which would explain the hair texturing thing.

What a disaster. From the Kotaku post and comments it appears that the PS3 version got the short end of the stick. Perhaps these were the visual glitches that IGN noted in its review?

If this franchise can survive its calamitous first outing I can see the seeds of a magnificent sequel. I hope enough people pick this game up despite the suck factor so that the concept gets the chance it deserves.

My PS3 game has frozen once. I was in the loading screen for Jerusalem (the screen where your character is in the "nothingness") and it never loaded the next stage. Then, all of the sudden, the game locked up and I had to restart my PS3 by pushing the button on the system itself. I had only been playing for about 3 hours when this happened.

Hopefully they fix soon.

Running it on a PS3 at 1080i (Somehow, I think it does look slightly better on my Panasonic than 720p)

So far, got about 2 seconds of screen tearing not long after the beginning of the game and that's it! Otherwise, for me, it is just awesome so far. Nothing else to report. I've even did a lot of horse riding (there's a bug reported there as well, but it's just plain nice) and so far, nothing, just perfect all the way. (I would not mind at all if tearing would come back every few hours, it's way more than awesome enough to forget about it... I guess I'll see, since so far, so good)

For people in Canada who would not have Call of Duty 4 yet, there's an awesome special at Best Buy this week. Buy both games together and they cost you $45 each... Special good until the 22nd I think... Good luck. And yep, it's good for PS3 and 360...

I honestly think we might see more games with bugs this generation. Games before couldn't be patched on console. But now, it's a possibility. So they meet their deadlines by sending a bug riddled game into production, but they know they can still patch afterwards...

Yeah my brother was playing and went back to the guy in the beginning who gives you your assignments and the game just froze for no reason. And I know it's not my PS3 because if the PS3 freezes you can't use the Home button to quit the game and use all the other operations.

Whaaaa ??? I've put 5 hours in tonight alone & no freezes.

However, I wouldnt have cared if they delayed it & put more substance into the story... (or dropped the whole ancestor dna thing altogethor) & polished up some of the gameplay elements for sure. Oh well, when Mass Effect hits on Tuesday, AC will be dormant until after the holidays for me anyway. Maybe there was some truth to Ubi having problems with the PS3's memory.

I remembered back at E3 06 when MS showed off Halo 3 for the first time, that trailer when the blue blew out of the ground , and they said it was actual in game graphics. Hm...In actuality Halo 3 is worse than dog feces when it comes to graphics. If everyone compared the actual trailer to the actual game, the game looks less epic and it has mediocre graphics.

All of those ads in regards of finishing the fight and how epic Halo 3 is, was all propaganda. That's why I sold my crappy box and bought myself an extra PS3 controller and COD4 for the PS3...360 is a piece of crap and at least I don't pay to keep my online games alive.

lol, xbots are so dumb. the game is identical on both systems. if it freezes on the ps3, it will freeze on the 360. and dont say that the 360 version has no tearing no framedrops and no problems, because thats a lie! i have the ps3 version, it runs great but it has some tearing issues for me, like the 360 version of my friend. framerate wise the ps3 version is smoother.

I've not bothered to connect when playing it as it has no online features and my experience with the game has been unpleasant. Lots of tearing and freezing and even losing objectives that I did not start/complete! I just got a refund for my copy )-: Was sooo looking forward to this game as well.

they need to ship the games working fine, not reliyng on patchs because we buy the damn games, and i do not want to go everytime download a patch for the games.

Tearing is really obvious and distracting, happens about 60% of the time that I move the camera!

Freezing, locks the whole console up, you have to switch if of at the back.

One last, personal issue, I can;t work out wtf is going on, the objectives are unclear, I've been walking around for ages to points on my compass only to find nothing when I get there, I seriosuly think I have some other bug, I was menat to be pick pocketing and fight training, but now neither objectives show (even though I did not do them) and nothing is happening, I'm just wandering aimlessly hoping to find an objective, and to top it off it keeps freezing or I keep falling off high buildings and dying. Really getting on my nerves.

Right, this is maybe only a PS3 issue who knows. What we do know is a) the PS3 has serveal good solid games now so it's not a console flaw it's a dev flaw. b) to back my point from a) Ubisoft themselves came out and said they find the PS3 'too hard' to develop for and made the next Splinter Cell 360 exclusive. So we know IT IS a dev issue.

Makes me so angry that my 360 died long before Microsoft owned up to the hardware issues, otherwise I'd still have a 360 and possibly a problem free experience with this game.

And for the Sony fanboys who do not like the above comment, I would much rather play Uncharted that Assassin's Creed, AC looks like a PS2 game compared to Uncharted, from graphics to animation, gaemplay, etc. Just my personal opinion, I'm sure thousands would disagree.

For the record I got my copy from Asda and they have just given me a refund, they have it on their books that the game is 'faulty'. I know it could/might be patched but it was not my cup of tea anyway so no loss for me.

Did u knw, that theres 11 milion people that have 360.not everybody has Live. And on PS3, not everybody has PSN, so,guess they get screwed over now? Just a btw thing. And, the Ps3 version is slightly lighter. The gametrailers vid is a bit overkill, but, There Definitly Is a Difference. Last time i checked, AC ISNT A PORT,cuz,wasnt it an exclusive at the start?

The PS3 is obviously all hype, there are a few good games e.g. drakes, but these only occur when they are exclusive to the one platform, PS3 owners are being used as guinea pigs, you pay top dollar for a console that has no desent dev tools hense poor multiplatform, and why put a state of the art Cell Processor into the PS3 and then leave it without a sufficient amount of RAM.

I've been playing for hours and only had one freeze, but it wasn't that much of an issue to be honest. Its been a great game so far and I'm loving it, after the football and when we find out we haven't qualified for euro 2008 I'll go back on it to cheer me up! ACDF!!!!!

So far one Freeze and had to restart the PS3, this is the first time this has happened on the PS3 since I got it in march and I have used it daily without fault. This is out of about 6 hours of Assasins Creed so not to terrible.

As an experienced beta tester I do have to wonder how much testing went into this game prior to release. Very little I would imagine and lets face it Console games are MUCH easier to beta test than PC games due to the console hardware and OS consistancy.

Ubisoft have really let themselves down. A quick and efficient patch might just save their reputation.

it's an issue on both systems. i can't play it on 360 for more than about 7 mins without it freezing. and it's not my system cause i played cod4 for about 2 hours to make sure it wasn't the system. i also played skate for a while and had no problems with either of those games.

I got the 360 version and havnt had one single problem and been playing it for 2 or 3 hours at a time. Good game.
