Rumor: Leaked Star Wars Battlefront 3 Gameplay Footage

We've already caught a glimpse at some pretty impressive TimeSplitter 4 and Star Wars Battlefront 3 art. Now we've got what is supposed to be early footage of Star Wars Battlefront 3.

The footage, we're told, was taken at an internal alpha meeting with Free Radical back in November. It looks pretty amazing and features some pretty detailed cut scenes."

Free Radical is no longer developing the game, people think that since Free Radical shut down that the SWBF3 project is finished like timesplitters. Only one difference. While Free radical owns the timesplitters franchise, it is lucasarts who owns the battlefront franchise. They took it and it is being finished up by Rebellion Developments.

I'm a huge fan of the Battlefront games so I'm crushed that Free Radical isn't making the game anymore but whoever it got handed to better build upon this. I love the bigger scale of it now, like in the Coruscant level how you can get in a fighter in the city and fly up to space. The only thing that kinda concerned me was that it kinda looked like Battlefront 2 done in a higher resolution, but hey it was only in alpha stages.

The graphics look impressive. I loved the first Battlefront on the PS2, and from the looks of it, this would be a day one purchase if it ever comes out.

Battlefront 2 was like my favorite game last gen... i'm am a star wars addict though so... anyways that looked awesome. I want this game to come out so badly. It even looked amazing in alpha stage and a crappy video. All i can say is this better continue with production and get in my greedy hands CAUSE i want STAR WARS!!

Wow, and I want this game!!! I was such an A-hole when im a jedi in Battlefront 2 with throwing people in the lava and stuff.

Anyway, i hope they perfect the vehicle flying gameplay. They really should jack Warhawk's ideas and they'll perfect the aerial battles in the game. I hope that it's more than 32 people on the consoles and that jedi fights would be more epic.

In Battlefront II jedi fights usually end with a force push/pull then a combo and the enemy jedi dies. But what can you do, it's a laser sword. ::shrugs::

its a damn shame this game won't see the light of day :( Same with timesplitters 4. Both those games definitely would have been big money making sellers for Free Radical, if only they'd gotten them out in time before the recession hit them pretty bad :( That and haze sucked.

I thought it was being handled by another developer after free radical shut down, at least, that's what I read.

Now that is how Jedi should fight.

Since this Lucas liscens I'm sure they will ship the production to another company or keep the team that was creating it and finish the product.

Or the game could have been started over again...from scratch. Personaly I think it would be one hell of a nod to Free Radical if the game that hits store shelves is the one that they had in mind.

That game looked like the first rue next gen game the scale was amazing from waht gameplay i saw looked amazingly solid, considering even the time of the builds and quality of the video it still looked exceptianlly impresive. I do hope this game comes out, i cannot imagion how this would be on a company/studios backburner, these games have always sold excenellently so it better come out soon cause that deffinitly would be a must buy for me. So everyone pray twe hear official news soon cause that made my jaw drop.

Except that Warhawk has Planes Vs Everything.
Battlefront usually had Plane vs Plane/Ship battles then People/Land Vehicles Vs other People/Lane Vehicles.

I think I just creamed my shorts! I so hope this game releases this year. Although I doubt it will. If they are only in Alpha at this point then we probably won't see it until early or middle of 2010.
