I think it was called battle bots or something like that. Two teams each build their own destructive robot and battle them in a small arena...but after the screens for Hardware 1 (PS2) it looks a lot more like twisted metal.

The reason why this "Hardware 2" is so significant is because its a joint effort by Sony London Studios, Sony Liverpool studios, and incognito.

3 of Sony's top in house studios working together on a game. Thats amazing by itself.

heavenly sword was a great game the game had a level with around 4000 enemies on screen and you need to kill them all

its only flaw was the legnth, everything else, graphics,storyline,gameplay were top notch

The concept name for this game is wierd but the game sounds like a Vehicle Combat game... the developer making this game should have left the vehicle combat to Eat, Sleep, Play because they are the ones coming out with Twisted Metal and Twisted Metal is the king of vehicle combat.

I'll definantly have to see who the developer is for this game before I start believing that this game might just actually be great.

You can look at it as the next gen Carmageddon meets Twisted metal. Did I mention that you will fight 50 vs 50 yet? You can even go beserk and do a deathmatch against 99 other players.

also, Eternal Sonata is hitting the PS3 this fall, and that was a good RPG.

Sony is WINNING Japan and the UK when it comes to it's battle with the 360.

it's the US that it's trying to win now.

how do you win the shooter obsessed US? with SHOOTERS.

the 360 is focusing on RPGs because it needs to excite the Japanese.

the roles are reversed based on their market needs.

don't worry, dude, TGS is when all the RPGs tend to come to light.

patience is a virtue, and if you've been a Playstation fan over the past 12+ years, you'll understand that things always initially move slowly, but pick up later.

besides, quality RPGs take time to create. i'd rather wait for a kick @ss RPG (ie, FFXIII, White Knight Story), than get a rushed, sh*tty one (ie, Enchanted Arms).

i'd recommend broadening your genre horizons for a little bit until the games you really want come out.

i've been playing a lot of shooters and online games while i wait for more action/adventure and rpgs to come out (my two favorite genres). i've also been catching up on the plethora of PS2 titles i never got a chance to beat last generation (ie, FFXII, Xenosaga, Rogue Galaxy, Dark Cloud 1 and 2, etc).

there's some good stuff on the PS3 in the meantime that maybe you should take a look at, exclusive AND multi-platform. maybe it'll take your mind off of things for a bit.

or just get a 360 like i did to balance it out also.

This is a major announcement? It sounds to me like it's a major try at getting traffic to their site. Who in the world has head of Hardware? The game scored in the 60's and 70's, and never made it outside of Europe, how can that be considered major?

This is a fairly unknown site, the info was never consistent.

The site admin posted a BS story about FF VII before (he says someone else posted it...not him) He has insiders?! He is listing a game that no-one has remotely heard of. Sony insiders are confused by this so called SONY announcement on Aug 3rd. He promised to give two clues until Aug 3rd yet he couldn't stop talking about it. Now he blew the doors off of the game when he promised not to talk about it until the 3rd(and said he was legally not allowed)

If this is just Gamesblow or another jerk trying to get attention to his site, he will lose all credibility instantly.

All I am saying is this. It's a fresh site with decent info regarding things we know. When it has been about rumors he has been wrong in the past and this game just seems to be out of nowhere.
