tudors5877d ago (Edited 5877d ago )

accounts being stolen on the PSN network is not news?

you are going to see a lot more of this until the PSN is made more secure, why do you think MS chose a closed network.

Sorry dude I misread your post, you meant don't hackers have anyhting better to do didn't you.

BeaArthur5877d ago

tudors...yep I was talking about hackers.

Here is the E-mail I just received from Sony. While the translation in the article is pretty accurate this is the "Full" English user release...

PLAYSTATION(R)Network

----------------------------- ------------------------------ - ------------------------------ - ----

Dear Customer

We have recently discovered the possibility of unauthorized access to
personal information on the PLAYSTATION(R)Store through PCs, a content
download service of the PLAYSTATION(R)Network.

Protection of personal data is Sony Computer Entertainment's highest
priority. Please be assured that we have taken immediate measures to
rectify this issue and system security has been restored.

Although very unlikely, it is possible that your password to sign in to

the PLAYSTATION(R)Network may have been changed through unauthorized
access, making it possible to view users' personal information and/or
use the Wallet for the PLAYSTATION(R)Store. PLAYSTATION(R)Network
accounts
do not display entire credit card numbers, so any unauthorized access
to
your PLAYSTATION(R)Network account is very unlikely to compromise your
credit card number.

We have investigated the extent of any unauthorized access and possible

alteration of passwords that could have occurred before corrective
measures were taken, and are sending out emails directly to those
customers who may have been affected by this incident.

In order to confirm that you are not affected by this unauthorized
account activity, please sign-in to your PLAYSTATION(R)Network account
using your preset password. Then:

1) If you are able to sign in normally then you are not affected and do

not need to take further action;

or

2) If you cannot sign in, or if you have forgotten your preset password

please follow the instructions to reset your password (by checking
the 'forgotten password' box on the PLAYSTATION(R)Network login
screen)
and check that no suspicious account activity has occurred.

If you do notice any irregularities with your account visit the
PlayStation Knowledge Center for additional information and immediate
24 hour
online support at http://www.us.playstation.c... or you may also

contact Consumer Services at 877-971-7669.

PLEASE NOTE:
SCEA will never contact you directly to ask for any personal details or
passwords.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Sincerely

Consumer Service SCEA

Rolling the Dice: Do Modern RPGs Miss the Point of Team-Based Play?

It seems it was long time ago. A bunch of friends spending hours on end playing RPG games, sitting around the table with the box of cold pizza. Excited about the story, listening to the Game Master, they were completely engaged in the worlds only visible to them and their imaginations.

The GM is the programmer, and in MMOs and co-ops, you can play with others. If you want to ONLY use your imagination for the visuals, read a book.

1) Hope they put it on disc this time.
2) Hope this is a positive for Neptune coming over as well.

Demons Souls5072d ago

If so, that's being developed & published by Idea Factory. Compile Heart has nothing to do with it (Thank God for that).

Godmars2905072d ago (Edited 5072d ago )

Thought Compile Heart was one of the companies lending characters.

Was also speaking in general as in regards to a US of Neptune. If these guys are offing a second game, NIS or Atlus, both of whom offer quirkier titles, will put that one out.

@kagon01:
My issue isn't - wholly - with the DL-only option, but the price. The first game should be $30. Maybe $40, and by that I mean $39.99. The only reason its $45 is the 360 disc version which has extras. Nevermind that by all rights its a PS2 game. Something that proabbly could have been done if the devs had the GOW2 engine or tools.

ClownBelt5072d ago

I approve of this god damn message.

Could have gotten my 60 bucks if they just put it on a disc.

Another exclusive damnn the ps3 keeps on rollin wit games awesome ;)

Jack-Pyro5072d ago

Is this a half decent SRPG, porn aside, cause if it is, i might just decide to go and buy it for the 360.

Anon73495072d ago

There's no porn just some sexual innuendos but that's it.

Also it is a great game by itself, maybe not graphically but everything else is top tier.

RedDevils5072d ago

so it had some kind of "top tier" porn story jk

ThanatosDMC5072d ago

Yup, it's a decent game. I just hate that a move has to go first before any attack options.
