Loved the mobile air-to-ground missile launcher. Also, they didn't zoom in on it, but at 1:00 they show a level with a train that is moving at full speed through the zone, which is pretty sweet if they can combine changing environment concepts like this to liven up the combat field.
They also did a good job with customizing each element of the battlefield, each building design being unique rather than a lot of cut and pasting of elements.
Based on what developers have said, almost everything at Sony is shared. They all say it's like working with one big family, each one willing to help out whenever they can, especially with Sony backing (and likely encouraging through desired means) this sort of work ethic.

Biggest sales surges are always in the first months. It's unlikely that Killzone 2 will reach Halo 3's numbers in the same time period, but regardless it has sold very well for games in general.
I love my PS3, but there's no denying how well online games sell on the 360 due to its dominance in the online market.

Wait, you say that Uncharted 2 and Ratchet aren't big games of this year and yet you compare them to 1) games coming out next year, not this year, and 2) Lost Planet 2?
Ratchet has a long history of success and Uncharted is heralded as one of the best games on the PS3. Your logic is kind of messed up.

Now, I know these guys say stupid stuff all the time, but what is there to rethink? I have a widescreen tv, a PS3, a 360, and I can stream internet video as well as download movies to both of my consoles. What else is there that they're going to do? Steam the media directly to my eyeballs?
It's called a recession. Have people forgotten that DVD, TV, and other entertainment sales have continued to decline as well?

Hope that inFamous is better than what I expect. I've been fairly cynical towards the game, but I preordered because I think it will be overall better than Prototype and I'll get over having only electricity powers throughout the game.
Pioneer said that PS3s could be updated to read the 400 GB discs, as well as other devices that could have their firmware updated.
How fast can you read one of these new G.E. discs? Is it faster than Blu-ray?

There's no way they can say the cost effectiveness of the new disc concept in comparison to the cost of Blu-ray. Blu-ray costs are continuing to dwindle and will eventually get to the same level as DVD9. Unless this new medium comes out already priced at the cost of DVD9, I don't see how it's possible that it will be cheaper, and even then it is unlikely that they'll recoup their R&D costs with that price for many many many years to come.

A lot of people will quickly scan your comment and misinterpret what you're saying, but I got it. Hopefully the rumors of a price drop being mentioned at E3 are true for people who really are finding it hard to spend (another?) $400 on a gaming console.
