SP games they're keeping at 80 bucks for 2-3 years? Yeah, by the time they're considering a discount/sale, PC gamers will be able to pick it up at a lower price and play it with better performance.

This strategy won't bring in PC players to Playstation 5/6. It will sinply mean that those console-players who refuse to pay 80 bucks for incomplete SP games will increasingly just wait for a cheaper and better PC release instead.

Maybe, but how hard is it for a multi-billion company to simply include such options for everyone, regardless of where you happen to live and buy/play your games?
A Japanese audio-track exists, so why not just offer us the option to download it and enjoy the game (perhaps on a 2nd or 3rd run) with a different language audio-track (and English subs).

Instead, they have gone out of their way to making it impossible to play these games in Japanese with English subs, ...

Honestly, I just want them to include the option for Japanese voices in there ...

This whole 'nobody wants to buy physical anymore' is kinda nonsense when the fact is in many (Western) countries the only (convenient) way for many gamers to buy games nowadays is digitally, because so many storrs which used to sell games (physically),among other products, have simply closed down.

If nobody is selling physical anymore, then yeah, of course demand for digital will automatically go up.

2 Questions;
1 - Which game did you love when you were young which would be your dream 'remake'/upgrade job right now, but would probably never happen ... ?

2 - Which remaster/remake BY ANOTHER STUDIO did you personally find very underwhelming/disappointing as a fan/gamer yourself?

At this point, I'd be happy if it's just a gaming console which dedicated focus is on just being a gaming console, so physical media, no accounts needed, no always online needed, no 'services', etc etc.

This industry really needs a reset and go back to basics, which is simply about games.

Consumers ain't buying because of what they're selling; There is no new SSX or Burnout, everything is now Online Required, everything is 'service', etc.

Indies are still delivering the goods, perhaps even better than ever, because those are often the guys and gals who know what they want to make and just make that and hopefully we dig it as well and support it ...

... but when you look at those multi-million budget AAA games, are they impr...

"Maybe put ads in a game that has launched on Gamepass to generate some extra income ... "

Don't give them an inch ...

Ads shouldn't be in your games, your movies, your music, etc.

If you look at these high-impact games for MS/Xbox these past few years, many/most of them have failed to actually make any kind of 'high-impac't on launch, while a game like HiFI Rush DID actually accomplish quite an impact upon release, at least critically and with those who played and enjoyed it ...

Forza Horizon 5 had its bugs, Halo Infinite was kinda met with collective shrugs when certain modes were still missing at launch, and Forza Motorsport and its always ...

We don't need thousands of workers wasting their time and effort, for many years, on a live-service project nobody asked for.

Just take a dedicated small team and create a cool Battlefield GAME. Not a service, but a game. As in 10-12 Conquest maps, 4 classes, cool gameplay, done. That's it.

That doesn't need 3-4 years of development. That doesn't need thousands of employees. Just go back to basics; Release a cool game, let gamers buy and e...

Well, anything to make those shareholders happy, I guess. They're all that matters in this industry nowadays.

Even if they'd make and release a BF1944, at this point, the suits in charge would still insist on making sure it's a live-service game, and they would just include all kinds of stuff that really isn't Battlefield, like heroes, streaks, small-scale death-match modes, CoD modes, Battle Royale modes, etc etc.

Battlefield, GOOD Battlefield, should just be 10-12 great Conquest maps with 2 teams, with 4 different but well-balanced classes, and that's it. The maps...

They really seem to believe every gamer cares about Call of Duty games, while so many gamers flocked to a service like Gamepass because they cared about all kinds of different fun genres to try out and enjoy.

Call of Duty holds absolutely zero value to me and many others.

These decisions about the gaming industry these past few years have been made by suits who just look at spreadsheets and buzzwords, and have absolutely no clue about what kind of industr...

I remember a time, a long long time ago, when you weren't forced to sign up for all kinds of special accounts in order to just play your games online.

Looking forward to this. Hades is easily one of the best games of last-gen. Just hoping they nailed the characters again in Hades 2, because they were fantastic in the first game.

It will be very hard to top.Zagreus as a main character btw.

@FinalFantasyFanatic; While I love the 90's as much as anyone, and while I oppose this BS and nonsensical unnecessary censorship from Sony these past few years, it's completely false to insinuate the 90's didn't have its fair share of OTT BS censorship. Many cartoons and videogames were heavily censored back then. Think Dragon Ball, Batman TAS, Mortal Kombat on SNES, etc etc. Most Asian movies released in the West were heavily butchered as well.
