What’s Going On With ‘Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League’ Reviews

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League reviews are no where to be found, and it's not because of a late embargo. What's going on?

It is clear to me it is a cherry-picked situation. I have been getting the updates and I have sent multiple e-mails asking about if they got the radio spots, magazine, etc, and have never once had a reply. All we get is the standard releases for trailers and such and then no response when links are sent. It strikes me as lets get as much coverage as we can, send out as few review copies as possible, and then run and hide when people ask for review code.

I mean I’m not surprised after IGN posted one of the most brutal previews to a massive AAA game I’ve seen from a big gaming review site. However they had the balls to do it and I have to respect them on that one, usually journalists just give it a positive or passable preview even if the game turns out bad and they end up giving it a low score.

This basically shows people why big journalist sites bootlick most of the time…they end up being punished.

Wholeheartedly agree IGN really showed they had the stones not to pussyfoot around this one.

At times people throw away their money on bad games because a previews can be far to wishy washy and not being honest with statements like a game having that distinct EA flavour aka it sucks.

There should be some outlets that you simply can't blacklist because they are the biggest outlets like IGN.

Starfeild is the first thing that comes to mind and I'm not trying to start a console war here but simply stating that they cherry picked no name fans to be reviewers with very few major outlets included which resulted in the major outlets trashing the game while the fans scored it highly because get they got included and were stoked about that

Why are you acting like this is a new concept?. They have no confidence in the game because they KNOW it's not what people want. So they put an embargo that lasts till the day of release, and allow only a select few to have review copies to which they likely paid/bribed for good scores to trick the masses who aren't on the Internet following all this into buying it and spending money on it before they realize how sh!t it is.

I mean no site has really shown to be neutral or impartial on this game and neither has the community. Everywhere you look there’s an article bashing the game and the community praising its dead on arrival antics.

I don’t blame them for making them and the community wait because everyone ALREADY decided the game is bad a year ago.

IGN even publish an article stating how they don’t like what they played because they don’t like the concept of killing characters they want to play as. EVEN THOUGH ITS THE POINT OF THE GAME.

I say let people stay in their close minded shells and avoid the game and praise the reviews that justify it for them. People who are interested will buy it regardless as well

They know the reviews are going to bomb, so they are hoping to cash out from people who purchase before checking out reviews. Sleazy but aye, business is business.

They are cherry picking perhaps, but at the same time I can't blame them either. There have been a few decent games that have been drove into the dirt because reviewers started to treat writing the worse review for said game like a competition.
It's understandable that they would much prefer people actually get their hands on a copy of the game first and give it a fair shot before it unfairly gets flailed around in the clinches of the GaaS and Agenda stricken narrative that seems to be all the rage in particular echochambers these days.

I mean there are definitely other ways to go about this such as trial periods and demo's for the game etc, but it's not like any tactic is going to save them from the pre-determined criticism they'll be facing anyway. If they feel like this is their only opportunity to get a fair shake at the game then so be it, I don't blame them for that as the experience for a game like this amongst players is going to vary. Do we really need any little thing someone doesn't like about it to be treated as if it's a Dumpster Fire?

I mean, if they're going to only let outlets who will positively review the game, then you know it's not a good game.

It reminds me of when CDPR only allowed for PC reviews to go up at launch of Cyberpunk and they were all massively positive, until you saw the last-gen console versions and people reviewed those accordingly.

This game is so far from the Arkham games and so many people complained about it. The devs even came out trying to say it wasn't a Live Service game because of the backlash when that genre gets dropped.

I just can't fathom how you take something like Arkham City and Knight and then go to this and think your fanbase wants this...
