With Inafune being forbidden from going to the Nordic Game conference, this bodes pretty badly for CoJ's showing in any other events at any time soon. We can only hope the H1N1 coverage dies out soon enough.
SPM, if they (devs AND fans) prefer English voice acting for their games, why don't Square Enix dub them in English from the get-go? Right, because it gives them the opportunity to release an "International" version of the game about a year after the game's original release, gimping the version the rest of the world got by adding tons of bonuses. Just look at FFXII and Kingdom Hearts 2.
Anyway, I enjoy both dubs and subs when it comes to games. Having both tracks eve...
Sev, I hope you're aware that Christian Svensson has confirmed that the first wave of Capcom PSOne Classics should be appearing in late may.
Here's the link: http://www.capcom-unity.com...
Keep that in mind when making your future lists.
EDIT: Capcom Unity is Capcom of Am...
Pretty sure we don't know what level of HD they're giving the games. They could be the Backbone HD "touch ups" with network capabilities. Since it was never mentioned, we just don't know.
They only pull any of the games would have is online play, but I've already cleared those same games alone and with friends.
At least Gunstar Heroes is finally being released. It should have been in the collection, but I'll settle for a $5 port on PSN/XBLA.
Actually, Capcom doesn't mind the massive amounts of impossibly good Mega Man hacks that have cropped up over the years.
Good on ya, but know that a majority of the population doesn't even know the different types of advertising genres.
Celebrity endorsements is by far the most popular and most successful. If it wasn't, they wouldn't still be trying to find actors to promote things as mundane as hamburgers.
If both prior efforts were shut down, what makes this one any different? Most importantly, why didn't they do it completely under the radar like anyone would have done after seeing the fate of the past two games?
Square Enix was completely within their rights to ask that the hack be removed. They unfortunately chose to use it mere days before release instead of ASAP.
Edit: Here's something about the article that doesn't sit well with me. The Half-Life example mak...
NIS aren't, but Hit Maker are. They developed Blade Dancer and Dragoneer's Aria on the PSP, which looked quite awesome on that platform. This game just doesn't look much more advanced than those games in terms of environments, though the character models look way better.
As long as Cecil can still quickchange easily, I'm fine with this.
Can't wait.
You guys misunderstand. This isn't even a NIS game, it's a Hit Maker game. If you've even bothered to play their two PSP games, you'd know not to expect much, if anything remotely playable.
Their big pull, however, was the kickass graphics they managed to squeeze out of the PSP. That this game looks this unpolished is uncharacteristic of Hit Maker.
The Japanese game didn't have any DLC. Lucky they didn't decide to remove the codes that were in the original game in an effort to push DLC on us that was completely free content in Japan.
I'll unfortunately have to agree. Let's hope they're only using an engine akin to the one they used in Dragoneer's Aria for the first screenshots, because the visuals (environments, mostly) need polish.
Then again, it's a Hit Maker game. I'd be impressed if it was playable.
I'm already nabbing R-Type Delta and Spyro 2 as we speak. Qore as well, since it's my usual subscription.
It's a new year, starting from the current episode. Past episodes won't be unlocked for download.
How can they NOT put Final Fantasy in the game's name when it's basically a heroes mashup from the entire series?
The game's a good start, but it does need polishing and some customization modes to make it more versatile for party players and restrictive for people who even want to make the game into a tournament game.
Anyway, the game has a definite buy from me if it has a UMD release in North America.
Just a note: This doesn't allow ISO loading nor PSOne Popsloading.
This is a pure homebrew CFW release.
Derek doesn't do PR, he makes game guides for Capcom's fighting games. I'm sure he would have posted the exact same guide had the demo been the coolest thing ever rather than the fiasco it turned into.
Christian Svensson already confirmed that the first wave of PSOne games is coming to PSN's North American store in late May.
I'll TRY to find the Capcom Unity post, but searching that site is like trying to find a needle in a haystack when dealing with posts that are older than a few days.
EDIT: Here's the link.
Wait until E3. If the game's announced for North America, just wait for the NA version and take advantage of the PS3 being region free.
If not, feel free to get the 360 version.
