Well, this begins my extremely angry man-pms GTAIV rant...
Starting with a list of things I'm completely p!ssed about, and then I'm going to describe each one of them in separate paragraphs! Not many people will read this, nor care, and maybe report it because all the GTAIV rants are getting old. I don't care atleast SOMEONE will read it. Bah. Well, here I go
1. Niko needs to fsck himself(no I don't mean that as in the "f" word) and learn how to wear an effing seatbelt!
2. The Icons on the compass are too small, and there's no "North" on the compass.
3. Putting in cheats while in a gunfight is a b!tch!
4. Niko sounds stupid when he yells
5. Its too much like the past GTA games, but too much is missing
6. People need to stop calling
7. No tank
8. The pause menu(You'll see)
9. I can't stop playing it
10. Rockstar HAS to puinsh you for cheat codes
11. Carwashes are too close together, yet at the same time too far apart
12. People get out of their cars and run if you shoot even at the sidewalk
13. The radio stations suck
14. You can't lift weights, get fat, clothing selection is terrible
15. The movement is clunky and so realistic it isn't.
16. Nikos nose is too big
17. I hate the targeting system
18. Not enough guns
19. My most hated of them all. The SIXAXIS tutorial. Yes, I'm talking about the PS3 version. It doesn't lock up for me, and my 20 friends on PSN and 3 with PS3's IRL don't get lock ups.
Well, lets begin with Numero Uno. When I'm driving super fast on the roads and I feel like driving super reckless, I tend to hit a few concrete, non-moveable poles. Since Niko can't wear seatbelts I fly out all the damn time. Why can't Niko buckle up just one time? JUST ONE EFFING TIME! Or does he just take off the seatbelt before he hits the pole so he can have a fun ride? WHAT THE HELL?!
Number Two. You know, not everyone has a beautiful 56" 1080p HDTV. Not even a 36"! I'm stuck with a piece of crap 26" 720p Vizio. Sure, it beats an SDTV, and I feel sorry for those stuck with smaller SDTV's. When I'm on one of those missions where you have to find some guy, and all he is is a red circle on your radar, I can't tell if(when he is) above me or below me. I just see some yellow blur with a very very small black streak. And if that's not enough there's no N to tell me where north is on the compass. Okay, maybe there is. But there is ALWAYS another icon blocking it because the N is smaller than the miniature Icons. Also I have to squint my eyes to see the green pathway the GPS thing gives me! This paragraph is long enough and I'm too damn lazy to go back and re-edit all the numbers just to add more rants.WHAT THE HELL?!
Number 3. Sometimes I want to have fun and put in cheat codes, and blow up everyone and everything to hell. So I go find a fun spot, hide behind cover, and kill away. Sometimes, though, when I'm in a tight spot and I'm all out of RPG rockets or grenades or what ever gun I feel like using and only using, or when I'm low on health. I bring up the phone to put the cheat in. When that happens Niko stands up and when he gets shot the phone menu disappears and quite usually I get killed running to a place where I can stand up without getting shot. WHAT THE HELL?!
Number 4. This paragraph will be short. Niko sounds stupid but funny when he yells. Almost sounds fake. Is the guys accent fake? WHAT THE HELL?!
Number 5. This game is too similar to the past GTA games. I mean all missions are the same. Drive here, pick up this guy, kill him, take this guy back home, lose the cops, rob this bank and get out alive while we use a helicopter to make it seem like an epic police chase and mission! At the same time, however, all the good stuff is missing! No Jetpack, not many codes, prostitutes are harder to find, and I can't see jack at night. I think GTA:SA set the bar WAY too effing high. WHAT THE HELL?!
Number 6.Don't you hate it when you're just having fun, then someone calls you. You tell them no, but deep deep deep down inside of you you feel sorry for the guy. I hate letting Brucie, Dwayne, or even Jacob down. I can't say no to the girls(unless its SoBoHoe, i took her out on one date and got sick of her so I shot her in the face, too bad she only got scared). And when I'm trying to take one person out, someone else calls. WHAT THE HELL?!
Number 7. No f@cking tank, there goes hours of fun. WHAT THE HELL?!
Number 8. Ohh.. my biggest pet peeve in ANY game is when the pause menu either A. Takes too long to load, B. Fades the screen out, and C. Has confusing menu options. When it takes too long to load and I have to p!ss like a race horse, and the game freezes up I usually wonder if it's going to pause, so I wait. I hate when the screen fades into the pause menu. Just takes too much damn time. I'm a very impatient person and when I need that damn map I want it right when I hit the Pause button. I hate it when menu options give me few options that sound the same but worded differently, and one takes you back to the menu without saving, the other continues the game. And the damn prompt.. it's like you're taunting me to quit the game. It's like, "Are you sureeeeeeeeeeee you want to quit? If you do you're a quitter and a p#ssy!" WHAT THE HELL?!
Number 9. It's too addicting, I can't stop playing it even though I hate it most of the time. Grr... WHAT THE HELL?!
Number 10. Dear Rockstar, Why do you punish cheaters? Especially in GTA games! What if someone just wants to have fun for awhile, so they cheat and they want to send EVERY island to hell rather than starting a new game? What if they have a little nephew or brother who is under the age of 13, while they shouldn't be playing the game what if their parents don't know much about the game so they make you let them play it regardless of what you say? Those little kids use cheats like no other. I sware, 1,364 cheat codes in 4 hours of game play is too much... Seriously, I have to deal with dirty cars. Do you know how annoying that can be after awhile? Doesn't seem like much at first, but... WHAT THE HELL?!
Number 11. Car washes, car washes, car washes. When your nepew/brother cheat too much on your file to the point that pretty much every car is a dirty mess and you get annoyed from the dirt. You just want to take your car to the car wash, right? Well for some reason the car washes on each island are close together, the small one at least. While they're also too far apart. I can't really explain it except for, you guessed it, WHAT THE HELL?!
Number 12. My 2nd biggest pet peeve of the game. Why on earth do all these idiotic people get out of their car and run away when I just shoot one bullet at the SIDEWALK, even! If I was even getting shot at in a car I wouldn't get out of the car and run away, I'd f@cking put the pedal to the medal and drive off. Damn it.. WHAT THE HELL?!
Number 13. The radio stations in this game suck. The Journey is fun to listen to on police chases, sure. But there aren't enough songs on it. There's too much rap/hip-hop music, which to me is complete crap. The modern rock station is terrible. The LCHC station is horrible and annoying. There's only 3 or 4 good songs on Liberty Rock. And honestly, I've found myself listening to the jazz station more often. Am I really going insane to like Jazz? Duke Ellington is... actually really nice to listen to. So... WHAT THE HELL?!
Number 14. No weight lifting, Niko could really do better at melee. I swear I hate doing melees, people don't die. Speaking of which, is it just me or when I shoot someone with 15 shots using the biggest pistol in the game, how on earth do they get back up 5 minutes after they fall? How?! Also, why can't you get fat? It'd be funny to see a fat Niko running amok on the streets! Maybe you'd be able to get him so fat that he wont be able to fit through the windshield on your car? Oh, one question regarding "windshields." Is the word "windshield" the American way to say it? I hear in the band Porcupine Tree, brit rock band, they use "windscreen" instead of "windshield." I've always heard windshield here in Illinois, and that's the only state I've been too. Never left it. And to the clothing selection. It sucks. You can't "Gangsta" Niko out, really(for laughs). There aren't that many clothing stores, is there even a regular t-shirt in the game? I want to red-neckify, gangstafy, geekafy, bikerafy or any other cultural stereotype ending with "fy." The only thing you can do is force Russification on Niko, I mean really... WHAT THE HELL?!
Number 15. Oh.. the movement. The clunky movement. I just want to walk a short distance from point A to point B. But Niko moves too realisticly! to take a quick turn when you're running on the sidewalk is hard to do. You turn at too much of a curve! It's the same way with a car. Since I can't tell how fast I'm going I'll even go really slow at a turn and still "attempt" to use the brake, but stop halfway through. Really I would like a speedometer... Turning on this game, unless you're going mach 5, is harder than the amount of times I've said WHAT THE HELL?!
Number 16. Niko has a very big pudgy nose. It looks like R* used MS Paint with an oversized brush on it, It even looks flat.. WHAT THE HELL?!
Number 17. Oh, the targeting system. I loved you in San Andreas, I really did! Now it's just a nuisance. I always take off auto-aim unless I'm in a mission, a shoot out mission. Similar to the one where you have to find your cousin in the warehouse and shoot your way too him. Bah! And why can't you aim while in the car, without shooting? Its like niko is saying "Oh! Look, de amerikanze is wanting me to shoot in de carrr! Is that a person? I can't tell because my big pudgy flat nose is in de wey! SO I guess I'll shoot! HAHA! Oh look at dat! Becaze I shot de gun so quikly at de cop I have wanted level now! Oh well I can use de cheat code!" Then Niko realizes I get mad at him and hold down x the entire time without moving, waiting for him to get busted or killed. WHAT THE HELL?!
Number 18. Definitely not enough guns. No flame thrower, no heat seeker, no dildo(that I'm aware of), nothing silenced, no dual wielding, and the sniper rifle is weak as hell. And no heads get blown off like they used to either! :(
Number 19. The Damn SIXAXIS Tutorial. First, let me say I do like the SIXAXIS with a few games. Motorstorm and Warhawk are some examples. I just don't like using a SIXAXIS with a game like GTA. But here's why I really effing hate the SIXAXIS tutorial in the phone. It's been a habit since GTA:SA to fix up my car with a cheat code on the way to a date. Numerous times I accidentally hit the SIXAXIS tutorial, and without even a prompt, it sends me to the airport. I lose my car. The date is cancelled. And it sucks. I thought doing the tutorial would fix it, and remove it. GUESS WHAT?! It didnt! WHAT THE HELL?!
There're quite a few more things I could rant about, but I can only say WHAT THE HELL?! so many times in one blog post. One really, really long blog post. At least, long for me. But wow did posting this really help out my anger with GTAIV.
WHat's sad is, after typing out this massive rant, I want to play GTAIV again... WHAT THE HELL?!

With Microsoft’s long list of poor messaging and poor decisions this week, combined with rumors of behind-the-scenes problems with some of its top games, one frequent point that keeps coming up is how much weight has been thrown behind Xbox/PC/Ultimate Game Pass.

Microsoft's only shot to get more gamers, being the devils advocate, is to go Mobile and free to play with ads to grow their fan base. With maybe a subscription to games like cod on Mobile to get more to buy in what they are offering.
But mobile isn't like consoles or PC at all. You can't charge huge amounts for games because that platform is used to cheap or free content. Can't go to Nintendo and Sony with game pass because they'(competitors) aren't stupid to destroy their own platforms with Microsoft's rental service. And PC gamers dabble with it but they're fine with Steam and other, similar offerings. Casuals are their target but do casuals really care because up to this point, they haven't.
They put themselves in a bind and I'm not sorry for them in the least. When you kill your own sales of hardware and software, you groom your base to not buy but to rent, and do everything you can but do what works for Nintendo and Sony in creating games that grow the industry, this is the results. Dead last.
Why was/is it so hard to just make great games and from that, EARN respect that would lead to an increase in consumers? Never made sense how stupid they are when they had the finances to compete and pretty much outdo Nintendo and Sony combined. They just chose greed and annual fees and lack of effort instead.
The gaming world is still reeling from the announcement that Microsoft is shuttering Tango Gameworks, the studio behind last year’s big Xbox hit, Hi-Fi Rush.
There's no logical or good reason to give for closing Tango Gameworks. They make great games consistently and Hi-Fi Rush was the highest rated Xbox game in literal YEARS. Closing the studio was just plain stupid and nonsensical.
It’s quite strange to not see Phil Spencer in any talkshow or podcast… usually the dude would talk almost daily when there’s even a bit of news from xbox.

-i hate the car handeling, i like it more than the previous gtas but how it is now is too realistic they need to die it down A BIT

-No Flamethrower WTF
-No police, taxi, firman ect missions
-No planes
-97/100, 98/100 10/10 10/10 96/100 WTF it isnt that good,san andreas was much better

The sad thing is, I agree with most of your rant and I have to add things...
- too many loose ends: What happened to that russian guy with the diamonds? He just left? I thought he was going to kill me? What good was killing Francis?
- the end sucks: I have to explain that one. The ending where the person you love (depending on the way you played) gets killed and you avenge them. When I finished that mission, I waited for it to save and just shut my PS3 off. No good feeling in my stomach for having finished a great game. Just depression. Yeah, I hope that's what they wanted to do, because I was moved.
I for one was disappointed after finishing the game. All the 23:30 hours it took me to finish the main story were great. Some tended to be repetitive, but that's okay with me. It was the end that completely killed it for me. I really grew together with Niko and I seriously can't bring myself to pop in the disc again. Yeah, I have fancy clothes, nice appartments and more money than I could spend (seriously, I never had that much that fast in a GTA before - plus I never had to spend something, I just used the billions of weapons I the enemies dropped), but that's it. The girl he loved that much to quit and start a new live just died in his arms and now I am supposed to cruise along, do funny stuff? I can't. I didn't regret buying it, but I don't see myself touching the game in the next time.
About people calling you:
You can put your phone on suspend mode. It's in the options menu. It will put the story on hold, people won't call you, and you can go about doing whatever you want.
maybe you should use cheats less.....but i can relate 100% to having a little brother who wants to play the game
my 10 year old brother wanted to play the game, i told him no, then he goes to my mom and my mom forces me to let him play, then i told him he's not old enough, then she asks me why its so bad and then i just freeze up, cause my mom would kill me if she knew how much sex the game has....i just told her its violent and she tells me if its only violence let him play...so i had to comply lol

I have a Samsung LED powered 56" 1080p TV =)...And by the way, There is a N on the map to indicate North. I played the 360 version but I doubt they left the N out of the PS3 version. Maybe it's time for a TV upgrade...At least 37" ;)
