Defiance is the first persistent online world that plays like a pixel perfect shooter. Unlike other shooter games where you can play co-op with 4 or 8 players at most, Defiance supports thousands of players playing together in a game that never ends.
After 8 years of Defiance and 3 years of Defiance 2050, both titles are being sunsetted on April 29, 2021.
gamigo confirmed that it has acquired major assets from Trion Worlds, known for online and console MMO games such as Rift, Defiance, Trove and ArcheAge.
"Making sure to accommodate the 4K resolution is both a benefit and a hurdle with game development," says Defiance dev.
I seen an article in gameinformer that MS will be releasing an Xbox One F. $899 with 8% increase over Xbox One X. First time I seen or heard anything about it. Is it true or was it a joke?
If X could do 60fps compared to Pro 30fps may be it would matter more. Otherwise both can do well over 1080P which is more than enough. Games is what matters most.
Wow PS3 is becoming the MMO console with games like this, DCUO, Free Realms, Gundam, Dust 514, etc.
Speaking of MMO's does anybody know what happened to NCSoft PS3 game?
PlayStation®3: console with the most MMO shooters. ;)
This game looks awesome. I'll be keeping an eye on it.
MMO Shooter Defiance Coming to PS3"
It's coming too for XBOX360..
Looks good gonna buy it for pc and ps3
Very promising, but I'm not getting my hopes up too high. 256 players on one map is possible on PS3, but a thousand? I don't think so, definitely not on 360 and this seems to be multiplatform if you chech the official site. We need more info, but I think this will be a multiplatform game without cross platform play, where every single battle on PC, PS3 and 360 contributes to a bigger ongoing fight in one universe, one server so therefore a thousand players in one game but not in one multiplayer session. Like with Dust 514, matches are 24 vs 24 (for now) but every match can influence a persistent universe, 'one game', with thousands of players. Dust is also called a FPS MMO, but the MMO part reflects the meta game with EVE, not the individual games you play, win or lose every 30 minutes or so.
Intriguing though, can't wait to hear more. Dust, Defiance, gaming needs initiatives like this.
