7 Upcoming Games That I Could (Potentially) Miss Out On

I think it’s a well-known fact that there are a lot of games coming out in the next couple of months. Should we be complaining? No, not really because the big games that are coming out are shaping up to be some of the best games this year. It is unfortunate, however, that they all have to come out in such close proximity of each other.

October, the only game that matters for me is Dark Souls. I am gonna borrow Batman from a friend, and don't really care for FPS games.

November, is Skyrim and Uncharted. Again I will borrow Assassin's Creed from the same friend. As I am unsure about the story from this point on... I really would have just preferred a fantasy game, instead of... Whatever is going on right now.

And I am not getting anything in December... I don't think...

Even if you can borrow some games to ease up on the wallet, this season is going to cost a ton of hours.

October I am torn. I want Dark Souls, ICO/SotC, Rage and Batman. I think I will have to rent ICO/SotC and BF3 cause of funds, but the other 3 should be long enough I can pull $60. In November it's SKYRIM, Uncharted 3 and Zelda no other ways about it. AssCreedRev is going to wait just because I haven't played Brotherhood, which I will put on my TO DO. It's actually been really hard to keep up on games this year because there have been so many.

My breakdown of the games coming out the rest of this year.

#1 Assassin's Creed: Revelations- Nov 15- 100% buy
#2 Deadliest Warrior: Ancient Combat- Dec 6- 80% buy
#3 Dynasty Warriors 7: Xtreme Legends- Nov 15- 40% buy

The Holiday season is always easy on my wallet because so few games interest me.

ps3 has been busy this hole year
some games will have to wait until next year
i can't buy all the multiplat games and all the ps3 exclusives
some multiplat games will have to wait

I'm missing out on a few games simply because even if I do have the cash to afford them, I don't have the TIME.

I'll wait on Rage because my time will be monopolized by Dark Souls. Same case with the MGS Collection, Rayman Origins, Super Mario 3D Land and some others. If I see a great sale I may give in, but otherwise I'll just wait a few months, given that I'll have more games than I know what to do with this season...

only game im not gettin from that list is AC game i cant handle them games

I would miss out every single one of those games just to get Assassin's Creed Revelations. However, I am getting Uncharted 3 Day 1, the others will have to wait.

I'm Replaying Skyrim (again), and So Should You

Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.

anast53d ago

I tried, but it's a poorly made game that insults its customers.

lucian22953d ago

nah, only mods make it decent, and even then it's bad, and this is after i modded for at least 3 years

Nittdarko53d ago

Funnily enough, I'm about to play it for the first time in VR with 1000 mods to make the game playable, as is the Bethesda way

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave53d ago (Edited 53d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
