Maybe Europe could FINALLY get RE2 and RE3 as PS1 Classics.....honestly our PS1 selection is crap compared to the US/Japan

They said they had a list of approved titles like over a month ago and still nothing.

If Europe are not getting RE2/3 then what will we be getting...because if they come out AFTER this then it would be a p*ss take since I might of bought Plus

Jack_DangerousIy4646d ago

Well, I hope you all get it soon. :)

I'm looking forward to playing through 4 again, and have been wanting to play through 2 again also.

Resident Evil 4 = $10 for Plus users
Resident Evil: Code Veronica X = $10 for Plus users
RE1-RE3 = Free for Plus users

Who says PlayStation Plus isn't worth it? I'm glad I'm a member. :)

too bad that deals like this come once in a blue. i didnt renew my plus but now that i see these deals i will gladly join again

Whitefeather4647d ago

These deals are a regular occurrence not once in a blue moon...

NukaCola4647d ago

Yeah, they do stuff like this a lot. Even brand new games like STACKING were totally free on day one, and the first 3 KZ3 map pakcs too.

solidboss4646d ago

really? tell me when was a series of ps1 games given for free? when i mean series i mean as in re 1, 2, 3. i dont remember ff7,8,9 being given for free. that's what i meant when i say its a once in blue deal. a deal that actually matters with a large fan base. im sorry but im sure more ppl care about RE then stacking

I'm pretty sure publishers decide on whether or not something will be free. Don't blame Sony, blame Square Enix.

Also, I loved Stacking. Why does it matter less just because it isn't as popular as Resident Evil? It was still a completely FREE game.

me too (glad that I'm a member)

I was already a Qore subscriber ($25 per year) and planning to buy RE4 at full price (20) and the Killzone map packs (5 each) so PS+ paid for itself already and I have more than a year left because I joined with the extra 3 months

EDIT: also it probably saved me the 60 bucks I would've spend on AC Revelations because I thought the beta was awful

KillerPwned4647d ago

Damn! I already have RE 1,2,and 3. I also wanna buy the remakes coming out but for $20 a piece :(

I think I may just invest in PS Plus already and buy them half off.

Marceles4647d ago

That's awesome, probably the most worthy PS Plus offers in history

Marceles4647d ago

3 free PS1 games on the same day and half off 2 new games? what's been better?

Resident Evil Zero and Code Veronica Remakes are reportedly in the works, not Resident Evil 1

Industry insider Dusk Golem reveals that there is no Resident Evil 1 Remake in the works. Instead, Capcom are reportedly in active development of Resident Evil Zero and Code Veronica.

-Foxtrot6d ago

RE Zero would be better to do first over RE1 because they can tie the story into RE1 more.

The original RE Remake was weird because Rebecca never mentioned anything about what happened in Zero and it felt so disjointed because Zero was developed during the Remake and they clearly didn't share any notes with one another.

Cacabunga5d ago

Wise decision. 2 of my favorites!

repsahj4d ago

RE Zero is one of my favorite game on gamecube!

Knightofelemia6d ago

Give me Dino Crisis dammit Capcom

TGG_overlord5d ago

And all it took was +24 years + a phone call from me lol.

GotGame8185d ago

LOL! A phone call from you? ROFL! They have been remaking RE games for YEARS! It was a matter of time!

The prevalence of parrying: Why is it so popular?

Parrying has been creeping into more games, with almost every high-profile title of the last few years featuring it in some way.  Why?

i understand the authors frustration i'm not the best at parrying in games. not that i can't complete a game that requires it but it is a definite harder thing for me than other kinds of techniques in games. which might be the main reason it's so heavily added in games nowadays. want to make your game challenging without having to do a lot of work? just add a parry boss. (what i mean by parry boss is a boss you have to beat by parrying such that their attacks will kill you otherwise)

Dudeson72d ago (Edited 72d ago )

I always think it's fine as long as such games also have the roll/dodge panic button. But I understand the will to parry, it seems so cinematic in a fight when you pull it off.
