RTS games has been a true staple for the PC Gaming community and although Starcraft is a great game and a huge hit, Sony has crushed it easily. In this situation Sony comes with another major exclusive that has proven once again that Consoles are not only the mainstream gaming favorite amongst gaming consumers, but proof that Sony always push the envelope on Revolutionizing a gaming genre.
Merging RTS with third person action is genius and when this game is released PSN might crash due to the success of what this title will bring.
A new patent recently published by Sony wants to gather biometric data of gamers to track whether one is being harassed using AI tools.
I hope this is one of those patents that never comes to fruition.
I already dislike the fact you can pay a significant amount for a online service buy associated games and content on said service and get banned from that service over potentially a misunderstanding the bans are already handed out for flimsy reasons
I'd rather see money invested in a ban that simply removes the offensive players ability to communicate with unknown players allow them to continue party chats with friends but not with Joe blow on cod.
Take my social security and bank account numbers too! Here’s a picture of my wife and our address.
At this rate I feel Sony will eventually sell a room to play games in it where they can monitor your every breath
I want them to censor erotic content by measuring my groin temperature so i dont get too distracted while playing black ops 2.
Terrible idea. Not only do I not consent to providing my biometric data, the potential for mishandling biometric data is almost a certainty. Positive stress and negative stress can produce similar changes in biometrics. Interpreting the precise emotion a person is feeling is not only invasive but could be easily misconstrued. I hope this never comes to fruition.
Sony has recently published a new patent that wants to dynamically handle the games' difficulty and gameplay based on the player's emotions.
This is something I might use. Sometimes I play some good games but they don’t have difficulty option and are a little too easy.
cool idea
cool idea for horror games especially
the way it's explained here sounds like it could never be forced hopefully, so that's ok with me
From the cosmos to crash-landing back on good old planet Earth, come read through the best sci-fi-nastically games on the PS3
Starhawk over Warhawk?...... Dude, NO ONE should listen to you.
Odd choices for "best" more like you settled as these being the "best" that available to you at the time, cause a lot of these blow or were average to poor performers that ended up in bargain bin.
Missing too many great sci-fi titles here. The Void, The Resistance Series, Killzone 2 and 3, Enslaved, man.. there were so many, this is redicu-list.
Glad to see Resonance of Fate. Enslaved was pretty good too. I’m sure there are others nobody has listed but I’m too tired to try and think of anything
"Starcraft is a great game and a huge hit, Sony has crushed it easily."
Lol thats about the most retarded fanboish comment i have ever heard. Sony probably doesnt have a single game in their entire library that has had a life cycle that Starcraft has had.
Starcraft was released back in 1998, 13 years on its still played by millions. Starcraft is even recognised as sport in Korea(a whole country). Name a single Sony title which is even close to 13 years old and being played by anywhere close to the number of people that play Starcraft today, most newly released Sony games dont get the kind of playercount Starcraft 1 enjoys even today.
Starhawk may be a good game however it will be forgotten in a few months, Starcraft on the other hand is a legend and those just dont die.
I'm looking forward to Starhawk and I know I'll put in more time into that game than I did with Starcraft. But....Starcraft is a huge franchise. There are very few games that can "crush" it, but Starhawk isn't one of them.
HHG seriously talks out of his ass.
Even if starhawk got RTS elements sc2 is way different game.
But i understand that starhawk is unique and bringing something new.
The big question here is, will the RTS/3rd person combat mechanic work?
If done correctly, it could evoke fond memories of BattleZone, which blended ground based combat and RTS elements near flawlessly.
In any case, color me intrigued - I definitely am looking forward to learning more about this game.
