One of the things I like least about modern video games is the increasing tendency to kick off any given title with a explanation of the game world's back-story. Then when there is an opening cinematic, it's overly serious and accompanied by an orchestral theme. To me, there's nothing in a game like an intro sequence with no dialogue or plot advancement; just nonstop action accompanied by music so cheesy that it makes Cheetos seem plain.
The Street Fighter series has a long history, but which are the seven best games the franchise has yet offered to gamers?
The studio was on the verge of collapse when Persona 3 came out, and things were looking quite grim for Atlus. Regardless, many decisions made in the game paid off and became a staggering success.
Years ago, I was emulating the game on my laptop and the old thing died when I was about to get to the final boss. I'm more than happy to buy this remake when it comes out so I can finish it!
At the time I was immersed in SMT Nocturne and later DDS. I did not realize at all how important Persona would become for me years later.
Persona 3 FES was the first one that I played in the series. Looking forward to the remake.
Taiwan has published ratings for the PSP versions of Tekken 6 and Soul Calibur, for release on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
FF8 for its time had a good opening cinematic.
good list by the way.
Good list!! The SoulBlade intro definitely deserved that no. 1 spot!
The Street Fighter 4 intro was awesome! I never got really good at the game but every time I popped it in I watched the intro.
Soul Blade was an excellent choice. Tales of Vesperia, Kingdom Hearts 2 and Suikoden 3 are some of my other favorites.
