Torchlight 2 Is Confirmed For Release This Year…

The sequel to the extremely popular and much loved Xbox Live Arcade and PC game Torchlight has been confirmed by Runic Games.

Torchlight 2 will have multiplayer co-op matchmaking allowing you to play in the amazing open world with friends. [THE PLAY VAULT] felt the co-operative element was missing and would really have added that extra perfect touch to the original game.

Dude are you serious? Okay lets just say you were having a second child with your missus, and you said to people "Hey i got news! we're having another child" and they were like...pffft how is that news? Does that make sense?

But this game was confirmed for 2011 last year...and again when the XBLA version was released.

So, again, how is this news?

EDIT: Now if they confirmed the XBLA version was releasing this year then that would be news. Hopefully the first one sold well enough for them to bring it to consoles.

BTW, it was supposed to be released this spring but the XBLA version apparently delayed it to this summer. And that's from the developers mouth(well, keyboard.)

Thank goodness I didnt get part 1. Having no multiplayer for this type of game just did not make sense.

Is it coming to XBLA or what?? The first one is crazy good and I hope TL2 will make an appearance there, then again, how could it not? The biggest sales in the company's history can day one of Torchlight's release on XBLA...makes sense and dollars to give it to us.

Me and a buddy just picked up the first Torchlight this week.. it's a blast.
The only real letdown is the lack of multiplayer, so great news if it is co-op.

And, hopefully it is released soon, on XBLa.
