Stereoscopic 3D’s movement from exotic novelty to mainstream standard continues steadily. The licensed games for Thor and Captain America, the upcoming Marvel superhero movies, will support 3D gaming. And this isn’t just for the 3DS version, but also the PS3 and XBox 360 titles.
Marvel’s The Avengers film is officially a success, not just at the global box office but also with fans and non-fans alike. That’s what happens when you hire Joss Whedon instead of [insert the name of any guy who directed Resident Evil, Max Payne, Resident Evil 2, Catwoman, Resident Evil 3, etc.] to make an entertaining flick that doesn’t compromise everything the franchise stands for.
Naturally, it’s time for us nerds to fight over who is the best Avenger. A quick survey of Facebook friend statuses shows Hulk is ahead due to a couple of particularly funny moments in the movie, but here at GamesBeat, we decided to use math and science to determine a true victor.
The hulk stoled the show in the avengers so credits to him no doubt
RDJ/Iron Man is cool but for me Thor is the best Avenger there is/was/ever will be .
Unlike the above I will actually talk about the article and the gaming side.
I am surprised Hulk is averagely rated higher. It is also interesting to note the decline in quality of these superhero games over time. It would be nice to see a good super hero game like the recent Batman games. Ones that have had time and effort over them
GamerFitNation's BlackBible gives his opinion on how a Avengers Movie Game could work. He talks about Ironman, Hulk, Captain America, Zone of Enders, and more. If you want to watch the Avengers movie trailer just click read full story...
After watching the trailer I just kept thinking about how hot a Avengers game would be if they did it right. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the possibly of a Avengers video game. Let me know if you disagree with what I suggested in the video.
A 4 player beat em up can be cool. It can have co-op. You get coins to upgrade attacks and get new attacks. And the game can have lots of levels and it will have difficulties. It can be a cross between the Scott Pilgrim game and God of War(without the violence)
I think they could wait until the Avengers becomes a full trilogy and just make an epic RPG based on the movies for next-gen consoles. But it would have to be in the hands of a very good developer. I would actually love to see how Bioware would handle the game.
It would also need a much better publisher than Sega, otherwise it would just end of being a crappy rushed movie tie in.
This July is a rather sad and lonely one for releases, but there still is hope. There's the re-release of several top tier titles in double packs and a number of other fun little games to battle the winter blues. Hopefully these will keep your spirits up until warmer weather and release schedules prevail.
