EA gives gamers an early gift this holiday season with Dead Space 2 demo

Hell yes! I was hoping it was within a week though, but no problem. Game looks great, just like the first. I'm very skeptical about the multiplayer though. From what I saw in the beta, it looked like crap. What is everyones opinion on it if you've seen footage?

I was in the beta and to be honest, it reminded me of that terrible Alien vs. Predator multiplayer. It was fun for maybe 2 games, but then it was boring and dull.

I think dead space 1 looked better on ps3
plus on ps3 u get dead space extraction EXCLUSIVE and move support for DS2 and DS:E
also, ps3 box looks way better than 360 box

Why not? I think a lot of people would be equally annoyed if they said no demo for the PS3 or 360. Plus EA seem to have a running trend of ignoring the PC when it comes to demos.

If they feel the need to ignore my platform of choice, then they won't see a penny from me.

Dead space 2 is a failure to me because its on the ps3 without move support which I don't understand. I guess its sort of the same reasoning for not optimizing ps3s version of multiplatform games when developers have the power and the tools to do so.

Move support would be better suited for a game such as this where it requires keen aiming and all you have to do is point at a specific area and shoot. With a regular dualshock controller, the player aims by pushing the analog stick towards a certain point and wait till it gets there then shoot. A point and shoot scheme game like dead space would have a superior control scheme if it used a point and shoot device such as the move. To say anything on the contrary is silly and is along the lines of thinking a driving game suchj as Gran turismo 5 is better with a dual shock than a logitech g27 wheel.

You do realize that the Move can only add something to the game but no Move support doesn't take anything away from it?

Dead Space 1 worked fine without the Move on all 3 platforms.

And anyway, there's already Extraction to satisfy your Move envy.

What you can hope for is a possible Move patch after the game's release, just like Capcom did for Resident Evil 5.

i may download it , i dunno .. i didn't like the frst one , i don't like games like dead space-fallout 3 - batman , they are normal games , not special or anything ...
i may download it because i saw a trailer for a boss and i liked the scene but i saw other videos and it looks the same as the fist one , i really don't know >.<

Yea, there is absolutely no need for multiplayer in Dead Space! I sure hope this is not going to ruin another perfectly good game again! These days developers try and focus so much on the multiplayer side of games, that we end up with a short single player experience! I dont really care for online very much, i get bored with it really fast. Besides having to mute all the brainless kids all the time, gets really old! Look at how good Bioshock was!!! There was no multiplayer at all, and it was better than the one with multiplayer! Multiplayer online is kinda ruining the single player experiences these days! You dont have to completely cut it out, just dont spend so much time with the online side and spend more time putting the creativity into the single player side! Its the way games like Dead Space were meant to be played!
