Joe Tkacz Writes: Who doesn’t love a good collection? It’s tough not to, especially after last year’s fantastic God Of War trilogy was released on a single Blu Ray. The addition of remastered graphics and sound, along with trophy support, gave me more than enough reasons to revisit one of my favorite gaming trilogies. While, admittedly, I never participated in any of the original Sly Cooper titles, I was excited for the opportunity to do so when Sly Collection was announced. It’s a good thing then that, much like God Of War before it, the three Sly games manage to hide their age better than Cher.
Welcome to part 2 of HeyPoorPlayer’s Top 25 Vita Games! If you haven’t checked out part 1, there is a link to check it out in the article. I won’t give a lengthy introduction to this section; if you want that, check out part 1. As such, let’s hop right back into it!
Borderlands is great on my vita, the cart is well and truly glued in there. Super Meat Boy, Terraria, Binding of Issac and Guacameelee are highly recommended
The PS3 digital version of The Sly Collection has been discounted to just $9.95. The physical versions of The Sly Collection ($11.95) and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time ($11.03) can also be bought at cheap prices.
If you look around, you can easily find this for less than $5. I bought it last year for $2.50. Well worth it.
SPC writes, "The trilogy-- in movies it's a common occurrence with hugely successful blockbusters whether it's Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Toy Story, or Back to the Future. Trilogies are also pretty common in gaming as well, but at the same token, an actual good trilogy is a completely different matter. This new article series details some of the very best trilogies that our hobby and industry have been able to create in its much shorter lifespan. This second edition (the first was seen last week) deals with more recent trilogies both official and unofficial."
My personal favourite is the Uncharted series, suprised that Mass Effect and Gears of War didnt get a mention in this article.
It's sad to think that both Metal Arms: Glitch in the System and Banjo-Kazooie could have joined this list, but now they'll never get the chance...
