from what it looks like, the 360 version has anti-aliasing while the PS3 version sports cleaner, brighter graphics.

but this comes down to how stable frame rate is and how many bugs/gitches these 2 versions have.

Motorola4965d ago

Eh. PS3 version brighter, change your brightness on the PS3 version, youll get the same thing as the 360 version for sure...

MicrocutsX24965d ago

I don't think low texture work is going to be fixed by brightness. And the brightness could be affected by the time of the day.

ImpartialMan4965d ago (Edited 4965d ago )

thinking that xbox version prob looks better, but after looking at the pics, i am starting to regret my decision.

that juke box look like a blurry mess

ChineseDemocracy4965d ago

I hope they managed to clean out the majority of glitches that plagued Fallout 3. Regardless, I'll be picking this up tomorrow :)

HolyOrangeCows4965d ago (Edited 4965d ago )

Ps3 version has much better textures. Look at the jukebox and ground...they look like globs of brown on the 360 version.

I'm not sure Anti-alaising is worth THAT awful of textures.

Too bad they didn't take advantage of the SPUs to have anti-aliasing.

The superior version is the one that comes with more content options. Xbox 360 wins.

BubbleSystemSuck4965d ago (Edited 4965d ago )

superior version with more content option?

do you know what is Timed?

Im just im just finishing Mothership Zeta rigth now on my PS3.

I can wait new Vegas DLC again.. there are ´plenty of other games to wait more Fallout DLC.

Superior? wich is the superior version?

NegativeCreepWA4965d ago

I wish these comparison were more about letting people know which one to get rather then fanboy wars. I want to see how much better the PC version looks too in these comparisons.

Pika-pie4965d ago

I dont know what screenshots you guys are looking at but this is a clear win for the 360. The differences are the same as what we saw in FO3 with the 360 sporting superior aliasing. Not suprising really seen as they have used exactly the same engine as previous.

Look at the boards on the window in screenshot 3 and the water tower in screenshot 4. Jaggzzzzz & less vibrant colours on the PS3!

I would have prefered to get this on the PS3, sadly unless the LOTruth comparison shows any different it will have to be the 360.

jaidek4965d ago

Wow, PS3 killed the Xbox 360 in texture resolution and some effects. On the other hand the Xbox version has some nice antialiasing. Personally I will take the texture upgrade.

kissmeimgreek4965d ago

Ill get whichever version has less bugs. I dont care how ugly the game is, If Bethesda succeeds in making a less buggy game ill buy it.

jarrod19814965d ago

and if its anything lke fallout 3 the 360 version will be the one to go with. ive only played the 360 version of fo3 but i always hear the ps3 version (goty anyway) was real buggy. i dont have time to wait for comparisons to roll in though. im going to have to pick which system to get it for and live with it.

HolyOrangeCows4965d ago

"ive only played the 360 version of fo3 but..."

And you may as well have stopped there. The Ps3 version is no buggier than the 360 version.

NYC_Gamer4965d ago

i hope the frame rate is good in both versions

Kiroe4965d ago

Agreed, the last outing on the consoles were rather choppy.

T9X694965d ago

I picked up the 360 version earlier today, and been playing it for around 4 hours. All the problems that existed in Fallout 3 are present in New Vegas. Obsidian did nothing to even try to fix the issues that Fallout 3 had. New Vegas is still a good game, but if you're looking for some big improvement or some serious changes, you're going to be disappointed. Everything is exactly the same as Fallout 3 except you can aim down the sights, and there's new weapons, perks etc. Pretty much it's a giant ass expansion pack that Fallout 3 lovers will enjoy, but people who are looking for some change, probably won't like the game to much.

Lahey4965d ago

I like the 360 version better. I got the PS3 one preodered, now with today news of the exclusive DLC for 360 I kinda wanna get the 360 . Im pretty sure PS3 will get it eventually but I dont wanna wait.

kissmeimgreek4965d ago

if DLC is that big of a deal to you then id really suggest going with the 360 version... Unless your ok with waiting a year for the ps3 version.

Apotheosize4965d ago

Doesnt matter if the game freezes still, fix that and Ill take the uglier one anyday

Games That Were Bad on Release, But Are Now Great

BLG writes, "Some of the most popular games have had a rough start, with some of them being downright unplayable.

Despite that, developers have managed to turn it around for them and make their game worth playing. Here are some games that had a rough start but were pretty great."

Good list..hoped to see Street Fighter 5 there..and it is.

Vits19d ago (Edited 19d ago )

Sea of Thieves... I'm not disagreeing that the game has improved in terms of content. But I feel that the most significant change between now and its release is actually the public perception. Nowadays, most people are aware that the game is a multiplayer PvP-focused experience first and foremost, and not "Black Flag made by Rare". Consequently, people dismissing the whole experience because the single-player aspect is lacking or the story is plain are much less common.

darthv7219d ago

Several years ago, i submitted an idea to Rare that would change up the mechanics of battling opponents in the game. whereby if you died in battle, you turned into a skeleton warrior and had to fight your way back to the land of the living. It was an interesting twist on respawning and would allow the player to experience both sides of a battle.

I keep hoping to see something like that get added to the game.

Kaii19d ago

They consider FO 76 & ME Andromeda to be great now 🤭

anast19d ago

Every game in the last 2 decades...

INMATEofARKHAM19d ago

It's sad that this quick retort is more often than not true... The industry's acceptance of release and patch has gone too far.

gunnerforlife18d ago

Days gone! By the end of the game I couldn't drop it down! I went around so many hours killing zombies! It was addictive by the end.

S2Killinit18d ago

That game was just plain good game. It didnt improve, it was just good.

gunnerforlife18d ago

I don't know, I got it abit late, and struggled for a few days, and then all of a sudden it just got good!!

Fallout Anthology Edition Looks Pretty S.P.E.C.I.A.L.

The Fallout Anthology Edition is coming to PC very soon, and is packaged with some very S.P.E.C.I.A.L. bonuses.

-Foxtrot40d ago

It’s an awful downgrade to the last one they did

They included physical disc back then
