Eurogamer: "Mafia II gets the last word by destroying the myth that the mafia is interesting at all. It contends that the mob world is a hell of boredom populated by aggressively stupid automatons. These drones wake up each morning, carry out a series of repetitious tasks, and return home. The message: thug life is nothing more than it appears. And Mafia II is even less."
With E3 starting next week, 2K Games revealed the biggest E3 line up they have for the year

GF365: "There are some games with extraordinary visuals that impress us to this day. Here are old games with outstanding graphics."
I always thought the first 3 Gears of War games looked great and still hold up for today.
Far Cry 2 was awesome. In addition to having demonstrably better physics and AI than later games in the series, it had a lot of design decisions that, criticized at the time, have since been praised in games like BOTW and Dark Souls.
It might not be super amazing by today's standard but I thought Mgs3 looked really good
Originally released back in 2010 for last-gen (PS3, Xbox 360) consoles, 2K Games has re-released Mafia 2 as part of the Mafia Trilogy, and has called it the “Definitive Edition.” Now, the question is, does this mafia go for the kill, or does it run out of bullets? Read on for our Mafia 2 Definitive Edition review.
4/10 is the lowest score i've seen.
What is with these scores? I really hope everyone is wrong.
Well I'm no longer looking forward to this game. Boring combat and bland set pieces are a turn off. At least I just started Mass Effect 2 for the first time. That should keep me busy until something better comes out.
hmmm, I still think this score is a little too low, but because of the general consensus amongst reviewers I just might give it a rent first. Better safe than sorry.
I'll reserve final judgement until I play it, but the reviewer sounds like he/she utterly missed the point of the game. One should also note that EG gave the first Mafia the same exact score.
Mafia I, was broken in ways that I couldn't even describe, it never tried to be a GTA clone and it was still an unbelievable experience - the story alone was worth the buy.
