A Microsoft patent shows off a new dual-mode Xbox 360 controller that can be used both wired and wirelessly. Unlike the current play and charge kit, this controller would give you the accuracy of a true wired mode when plugged in.
From school politics to ping-pong, pistols to police procedurals, let’s dive into the best that Rockstar has to offer.
Saif from eXputer inquires, "Despite the everlasting popularity of the genre, why hasn't there been a good AAA horror game in a while now?"
Even when they do it's first person trying to copy Outlast, Five Nights, P.T etc
I think the Dead Space / RE2 / RE4 Remake and the Evil Within 2 showed you can have a good story based, third person survival horror game.
Yet another leak for the ASUS ROG Ally X points towards as much as 8 hours of battery, but how does that compare to the competition?
Honestly, I really like this updated version. But it doesn't solve the biggest flaw that the original had for me: the Z1 Extreme APU. Yes, it's an extremely powerful part, but it is not part of AMD's Adrenalin driver update program, so it's dependent on Asus for driver updates. And unfortunately, Asus doesn't have a stellar record of support for their devices.
Up to 8 hours basically just means the least demanding games. AAA gaming at highest wattage would probably be about 2-3 hours which is good compared to just about 1 hour with the current ally. The OLED Deck can do about 2-3hrs.
Nope. The only improvements I want to hear is better customer support. Otherwise, I can't be bothered.
That is nice. Doesnt the DS3 controller have better accuracy when plugged in already? I am not too sure.
isnt that the original xbox?
Good, I'm opposed to anything wireless with gaming because it's a bad idea due to the lag.
The USB cables only supply power. Both the 360 and PS3 controllers still communicate wirelessly when plugged in, to my recollection.
Remember console OSes are meant to be as simple as possible, to save memory. They do things ONE way, and avoid having lots of extra paths for doing things, when the one supported way works just fine. Supporting USB communication for 360 controllers would just be more code and interface support that just isn't needed when you're trying to fit your entire OS in 32MB, to make as much room for games as possible.
This will likely be a way for them to rid of the battery styled controllers and have a batter incorporated and be able to charge it as well,
Xbox is making strides I think to cover up how cheap their system comes off sometimes, new look, controller with out batteries, they were able to sell crap for a while and at the expense of them R&D refinements for their products, seems simple enough
